1、A-A-5 0 15 O January 21, 1988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION SANCTUARY LAMPS, CANDLE TYPE, ELECTRIC TYPE The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to item 1, type I and II of MIL-S-43486A. 1. CLASSIFICATION 1.1 Classification. The comme
2、rcial item description covers two types of sanctuary lamps, one candle type and one electric. Type I - Candle type Type II - Electric type 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Design and construction. Type I, sanctuary lamp, candle type consists of three pieces: a base with holder straps, a cover with cro
3、ss, and a glass - insert. The base and cover shall be fabricated of commercial brass chrome plated (electrodeposited). The glass shall be ruby glass, uniform in color. The height, when assembled, shall be 15 inches - + 2 inches. Type II, sanctuary lamp, electric type, consists of three pieces: a bas
4、e with holder straps, a cover with cross, and a glass insert. The base and cover shall be fabricated of commercial brass , chrome plated (electrodeposited). The sleeve shall have a white, baked enamel finish. Electric sanctuary lamps shall comply with the applicable requirements of Underwriters Labo
5、ratories Standard for Safety. The glass shall be ruby glass, uniform in color. The height, when assembled, shall be 15 inches 2 2 inches. 2.2 E. label, a UL listing mark, or a certified test report from a recognized independent testing laboratory, acceptable to the Government, indicating that the el

The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, a

The shipping container shall be completely filled with no voids and of a size that can be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147. Each shipping container shall be closed in accorance with the appendix of PPP-B-636. .
