CLASSIFICATION 1.1 Classification. The comme
2、rcial item description covers two types of Bible and missal stands, one chromium plate finish brass frame and one with a hard wood frame. Type I - Chromium Plated Frame Stand Type II - Wood Frame Stand 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Design and construction. The Bible and missal stand shall be fabric
3、ated of brass with a chromium plate finish. adjustable, and contain no religious markings. The stand shall be 12 inches + 1 inch by 14 inches i- 1 inch. The Bible and Missal stand shall be free from defects such as fractures, tool marks, splits, punctures, dents, creases, malformations, sharp edges
4、and burrs. excessively loose. The frame for type I shall be made from brass, chromium plated, and the frame for type II shall be made from hard wood. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same as the product offe

When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. The Government reserves the right
7、 to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafteras may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 4. PACKAGING 4.1 Packaging. Each stand shall be wrapped in neutral tissue and then placed in a clear plastic bag. fiberboard box. Each stand shall be cus

Four stands, packaged as specified, shall be packed in a snug- fitting RSC style shipping container conforming to type CF, (variety SW) or SF, class domestic, grade 275 of PPP-B-636. The shipping container shall be completely filled with no voids, and of a size that can
10、 be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147. Each shipping container shall be closed in accordance with the appendix of PPP-B-636. 4.3 Palletization. When specified (see 4.21, stands shall be palletized on a 4-way entry pallet in accordance with load type Ia of MIL-STD-147. Each pre- pared load sh
11、all be bonded by means K and L, or film bonding means O or P, in accordance with MIL-STD-147. 4.4 Marking. In addition to any special markings required by the contract or purchase order, unit packs shipping containers and unitized pallet loads shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. 5. NOTES
