1、 A-A-501 73 October 5, 1988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION CANDLE BURNER The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to item 1 of MIL-C-43467. 1 SALIENT CHARACTERISTI CS 1,l Design and construction. The candle burner shall be fabricated o
2、f commercial brass with a chromium plate finish. The candle burner shall be cylindrical in design, and be tapered at the top. The burner shall approximate 1-1/2 inches high and the base diameter will be 1-1/4 inches. The top opening of the burner should approximate 13/16 inch in order to accomodate
3、a 15/16 inch diameter candle. 2. QUALITY ASSURANCE 2.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. When specific qual
4、ity assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery
5、and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 3. Packaging Requirements 3.1 Packaging. Each candle burner shall be completely wrapped in tissue paper with the ends tucked inside or enclosed in a clear polyethylene bag. Twelve candle burners shall then be place
6、d into a snug-fitting top loading paperboard box equipped with separators. 3.2 Packing. One shall be packed in style RSC type CF hundred and forty-four candle burners, packed as specified, a snug-fitting fiberboard shipping container conforming to (variety SW) or SF, class domestic, grade 275 of PPP
