1、A-A-501 76 October 7, 1988 CObPIERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION BOWL, BAPTISMAL The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to MIL-B-43401. 1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 Design and construction. The baptismal bowl shall be fabricated of comer
2、cial brass with a chromium plate finish. The bowl should approximate 9-70 inches in diameter, with a 5-6 inch round base. The overall height shall be 5 inches 2 1 inch. Design of the bowl shall be the manufacturers standard commercial model. 2. QUALITY ASSURANCE 2.1 Certification. The contractor sha
3、ll certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drarIings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic the contractor
4、 shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 3
5、 PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Packaging. Each baptismal bowl shall be completely enclosed in a clear polyethylene bag. Bags shall be closed by folding the end around and securing it with a piece of pressure sensitive tape. Each bowl shall then be inserted into a snug-fitting folding or set-up paperbo
6、ard box. 3.2 Packing. Six baptismal bowls, packaged as specified, shall be packed in a snug-fitting RSC style corrugated fiberboard shipping container conforming to type CF, (variety SW) or SF, class domestic, grade 275 of PPP-B-636. The shipping container shall be completely filled with no voids, a
