3、COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION GENERATOR, TACHOMETER The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID) for all Federal Agencies. 1. SCOPE This CID covers requirements for a direct current (DC) generator, tachometer which is used to measure rotational v

4、elocity/speed by converting mechanical rotation into a DC output voltage. This item is used on, but is not limited to, the M901 TOW anti-tank combat vehicle. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Materials. The materials used in the manufacture of the generator, tachometer shall be in accordance with the m

5、anufacturers materials specifications as required to meet the salient characteristics of this CID. The use of recovered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 5.4). 2.2 Design and construction. Unless otherwise

6、specified in figure 1, the design and construction of the generator, tachometer shall be in accordance with the manufacturers specifications and drawings.
