SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.2.1 Physical description
、 . The table shall be rectangular andmeasure 8 feet + 1/8 inch in length and 3 feet + 1/16 inch inwidth. The top surface of the tabletop shall be smooth with noburrs or sharp edges that will cause parachute material to snag. The table shall have a leg structure that shall lock in a secureperpendicula
、r (open) position when in use, and a secure horizontal(closed) position for storage. Each leg structure shall have arigid anchor point centered on the structure to secure parachuteinspection hardware. The height of the table shall be capable ofbeing adjusted and leveled from a minimum of 33 3/4 inch
、es to amaximum of 35 inches. The table, with the legs in a closedposition, shall measure not more than 13 inches from the topsurface to the bottom most surface. The tabletop shall providesufficient strength to resist cracking and deformation when a 275pound load (G-11 parachute)is applied. The total
、 weight of thetable shall not exceed 220 pounds.2.2 Wiring . All wiring shall be compatible with 115/120 volt, 60Hz, AC power source and the current rating shall be 15 amperes(A). Wiring shall not be visible in the light area and shall be contained to prevent injury or be a source of ignition. A gro
、unded on/off switch and a 7 inch + inch flexible cablewith grounded male plug shall be at one end of the table and asingle receptacle located at the opposite end of the table (sameside). The table shall be physically and electrically safe tooperate.2.3 Lighting . The table shall have an easily acces
、sible lightsource, that will provide sufficient lumens to produce an averageof 488 + 10% lumens per square foot when uniformly diffused. Thetabletop shall be translucent to provide a diffused luminoustransmittance of 60% + 6%.2.4 Joining tables . Tables shall be capable of being joinedtogether lengt
、hwise electrically and in a locked position (maximumof four tables) to form a continuous flat, smooth, level surfaceand meet the lighting requirements by engaging the male plug ofone table into the receptacle of an adjacent table. Method oflocking shall be compatible with existing tables.Provided by

A proportionately sized information plate showingthe circuit wiring diagram and legend, “USE 115/120 VOLTS - 60 HzAC ONLY - CURRENT RATING 3.7 AMPS - USE NO MORE THAN 4 TABLES INSERIES“ sha
、ll be permanently attached and located on the samesurface as, and adjacent to, the switch. An additionalproportionately sized identification plate depicting themanufacturers name, CAGE code, and year of manufacture, shall belocated adjacent to the first plate. The information andidentification plate
、s may be combined into one plate.2.6 Environmental requirements . The tables shall be functionalin ambient temperatures from 60 F to 125 F.0 03. The product provided shall meet thesalient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards,an
、d quality assurance practices, and it may be a modified productthat may be offered to the commercial market . The governmentreserves the right to require proof of such conformance.4.1.1 First article inspection . When a first article inspectionis required it shall be examined for all verifications l
、isted. 4.1.2 Verification methods . Verification methods can includevisual examination, measurements, testing, certification andsimilarity to previously-approved or previously-qualified designs. The manufacturer may also propose test methods, techniques, orequipment, including the application of stat
、istical processcontrol, or cost-effective sampling procedures to verifyperformance. The contract may specify alternatives that replaceverifications required by this commercial item description.Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-A-A-59143
、44.2 Physical verification and tests . Verify, by measuring, thatthe dimensions of the table are 8 feet + 1/8 inch in length and 3feet + 1/16 inch in width. Visually and by feel, verify that thetop surface is smooth with no burrs or sharp edges. Ensure thatthe legs lock in a perpendicular position w
、hen in use and a lockedhorizontal position for storage. Inspect for a rigid anchor pointcentered on each leg structure. With the legs in a closed lockedposition, verify by measuring that the depth of the table is notgreater than 13 inches. Verify that the height of the table iscapable of being adjus
、ted and leveled from a minimum of 33 3/4inches to a maximum of 35 inches. Verify the durability of thetabletop to resist cracking and deformation by suspending a packedG-11 cargo parachute 6 inches above the center of the table.Release and free-fall the parachute, impacting the table. Repeatthe proc
、edure 10 times. At the completion of this verification, set the G-11 parachute in the center of the table for 2 hours. Verify that there is no permanent deformation of the tabletop whenthe parachute is removed. Verify by weighing, that the table doesnot exceed 220 pounds.4.3 Wiring . Verify that each
、 table contains a 15 ampere on/offswitch and a 7 inch + inch flexible cable with grounded maleplug at one end of the table, and a single grounded 15 amperefemale receptacle located on the opposite end of the table (sameside). Energize the table. Verify that the wiring of the table is115/120 volts, 6
、0 Hz AC and the current rating is 15 amperes. Visually inspect that the wiring is not visible in the lightsource area and is contained to prevent injury or act as a sourceof ignition.4.4 Lighting . With light source on, operate the table for 200hours. At the end of this period, verify that the light
、 sourcewill produce an average of 488 + 10% lumens per square foot. With the light source on, verify that the tabletop provides adiffused luminous transmittance of 60% + 6%. 4.5 Joining tables . With four tables joined electrically andwith locking mechanism engaged, verify there is a continuous flat
、smooth surface. Verify the tables cannot be separated withoutdisengaging the locking mechanism. Table height adjustment may benecessary to achieve a flat smooth surface.Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-A-A-5914354.6 Marking . Visually
、inspect to verify that the requiredinformation and identification marking is complete, accurate, andlocated where specified.(see 2.5)4.7 Environmental requirements certification. The contractorshall certify that the inspection table is functional at ambienttemperatures of 60 F to 125 F.0 05. PACKAGI
