This specification sheet covers a Female by Flange (TTMA), Type VIII coupling half to be used in conjunction with a male cam locking type cou

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The following characteristics may differ from those listed in the latest issue of
8、 A-A-59326. 3.1 Hydrostatic test pressure. The -inch through 4-inch couplings shall withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 300 pounds per square inch gage (psig). The 6-inch, 75 psi rated coupling halves shall withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 150 psig. The 6-inch, 150 psi rated coupling ha
9、lves shall withstand a minimum hydrostatic test pressure of 225 psig. 3.2 Cam arms. The 6-inch 150 psi rated coupling half shall have 4 (four) cam arms. The 6-inch 75 psi rated coupling halve can have 2 cam arms. 3.3 Working pressure. The -inch through 4-inch couplings shall be rated for 150 pounds
10、per square inch working pressure. The 6-inch couplings shall be rated for 75 psi or 150 psi working pressure as appropriate. 3.4 Accessories. The coupling shall be supplied with pull rings and gasket. 4. NOTES 4.1 Part Identification Number (PIN). The following PIN procedure is for government purpos
11、es and does not constitute a requirement for the contractor. This example describes a part numbering system for a specification sheet A-A-59326/8. AA59326/8-3-SS-1; where /8 indicates a Coupling Half, Female by Flange (TTMA), Type VIII, -3 indicates a 3-inch nominal cam lock end, -SS indicates a sta
12、inless steel body and -1 indicates a style 1 coupling. Material: A - Aluminum Alloy B - Copper Alloy (Brass or Bronze) BA - Aluminum Bronze SS - Stainless Steel Style 1 - Style 1 couplings do not require the incorporation of a positive locking mechanism to lock the cam arms in the closed position bu
13、t the cam arms shall stay in the closed position when the coupling halves are assembled. Style 2 - Style 2 couplings shall incorporate a positive locking mechanism to lock the cam arms in the closed position when the coupling halves are assembled. The locking mechanism shall be manually released (th
14、e release doesnt have to stay in the released position) before the cam arms can be moved to the open position.
