REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material, tanned cattlehide. has been lightly snuffed on the grain side to remove superficial blemishes. The flesh side may be buffed, shaved or split to secure greater uniformity of thicknes

26、mpon-t and material inspection, In accordance with 4.1 above, components and materials shall be inspected in accordance with all the requirements of referenced specifications, drawings and standards , unless otherwise exiluded, amended, modified, or qualified in this specification or applicable purc
27、hase document. 4.2.2 Examin.ation of th-e end item. The defects found during examination of the leather for visual and dimension& characteristics shall be in accordance with 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2. one unit of product. The lot size shall be expressed in units of one unit of product. Any sample unit con
28、taining one or more defects shall be classified as a defective unit. Sampling for these examinations shall be performed in accordance with FED-STD-311, except that a sample size of 15 and a rejection number of 2 shall be applicable for thickness determinations on lots consisting of 51 or mre units o
29、f product. Separate examinations shall be performed for visual and dimensional examinations, but the same sample may be used for each examinat ion. Marking shall be in accordance with 5.3.1 or 5.3.2 as specified (see 6.2). 5.3.1 Civil agencies. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, interior packa
