2、tments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. Add the following new paragraph: “3.14 Human factors criteria (F

6、or Navy use only). Human factors engineering criteria, principles, and practices, as defined in MIL-STD-1472, shall be used in the design of the bread-slicing machines. All maintenance and operational tasks shall permit safe and efficient performance by the 5th percentile female through the 95th per

7、centile male as defined in MIL-STD-1472. All controls and switches needed for operation or maintenance shall be clearly and appropriately labelled to identify function. 8、esign such that the hands of the operator shall not inadvertantly come in contact with the machine mechanisms and knife blades. Clearance or free area required around an item shall permit an individual with applicable 5th and 95th percentile body dimensions and physical capabilities, (as defined in

When establishing accessibility requirements, both physical and visual access must be provided, along with access for any tools, test equipment and parts replacement needed. While inspecting for defects and performing tests, t
