When spe

16、cified (see 6.1), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.2) in accordance with 4.4. 3.2 Inqredients. All ingredients shall be clean, sound, wholesane, and free frun foreign material, evidence of rodent and insect infestation, extraneous material, off-odors, off-flavors, and o

17、ff-colors. 3.2.1 Suuar, white, wanulated, extra fine. Sugar shall be white, granulated, extra fine cane or beet sugar, or a canbination thereof. Not more than 20 percent shall be retained on a U.S. Standard No. 20 sieve and not more than 8 percent shall pass through a U.S. Standard No. 100 sieve. 3.

18、2.2 Citric acid, anhydrous, fine pawd er. Citric acid shall be an anhydrous, fine pmder and shall carply with the Food Chemicals Codex. more than 3 percent shall be retained on a U.S. Standard No. 30 sieve and not more than 5 percent shall pass through a U.S. Standard No. 100 sieve. Expressed as 0.30 mg active thiamine mnonitrate; use encapsulated fonn with 60 percent coating of mno and diglycerides; therefore 0.91 q of coated

Vitamin D equivalent to 200 IU may be obtained from either crystalline vitamin D2 (5 microgram of 100 percent purity pr#iuct) or from vitamin D3 in cold water dispersible beadlets (2 mg of 100,000 IU/g beadlets). 3.2.9 Xanthan gum . Xanthan gum shall canply with the Food Chemicals

26、 Codex (see 6.3.1). 3.2.10 Silica. Silica shall canply with the Food Chemicals Codex for silicon dioxide (see 6.3.2). 3.2.11 Cellulose qum . Cellulose gum shall be a powder and shall canply with the Food Chmicals Caiex (see 6.3.6). 3.2.12 Titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide shall be water dispersible

27、 and shall canply with the Food Chemicals Codex. 3.2.13 FD Natural and Artificial Orange Flavor #22448 manufactured by Tastemaker, at 0.3 percent of the formulation weight; range Oil Flavor (A Natural and Artificial Flavor) #F31129 manufactured by Eonnick Flavor Division, Eonnick and Company at 0.02
