Four 5x3-inch (with 0.50 inch lip) litter leg cups of corrosion-resistant metal shall be mounted in parallel pairs on each sec

33、tion of the seat. cushion shall be formed around the litter leg cup, leaving the cup exposed. The centerline of the litter leg cups will be approximately 24 inches from the dividers, 3 inches from the wall on 20.75 inch centers crosswise, and 46-inch centers lengthwise (see figure I). For type IV vehicles, both the backrests and the full seat around the litter leg cups shall be padded with flexible polyethylene foam. flame-retardant, nontoxic, and shall not absorb moisture or body odors. Density shall be 2 pounds per cubic foot to 2.

35、4 pounds per cubic foot. Firmness of the foam shall be 35 gounds to 70 pounds at a 25 percent deflection over an area of 50 square inches. The foam padding shall be capable of withstanding 100 percent humidity and an ambient temperature from minus 65oF to plus 1250F without any evidence of deformati

36、on or cell breakdown. Flexible latex polyester foam padding is not acceptable. Thickness of padding shall be 1.50 inches for the seat and 2 inches for the backrests. Padding for seats and backrests ahall be covered with material specified in 3.5.8.3. The height from the top of the leg cup lip to the

37、 top of the upholstery shall be not greater than 1 inch. The backreats shall run the full length of the seat bench.
