If one or two bandoleers fail to comply with the requirements, a second sample consisting of the same number of units as specified in the first sample shall be tested. If in the accumulated sampl

The ultra- sonic machine shall be considered set properly when three specimens with the same machine setting

12、ynthetic based outer shell material, cut two 12 inch long swatches in the warp (machine) direction, one 2 inches wide and one 8 inches wide each in the filling (cross- machine) direction. If using a plunge type ultrasonic machine, then use appropriate manufacturers leveling procedures to assure that
13、 the horn is level with the anvil. Use a 5/32 inch (min) wide light knurled faced horn or roller as appropriate. Set the ultrasonic machine with the proper weld time, pressure, and roller speed (if appropriate) to longitudinally bond the 2 inch wide strip in the middle to the middle of the 8 inch wi
14、de strip. Test the bond strength of previously prepared sample per FED-STD-191, TM 5100 except place the top jaw of the tensile tester on one side of the wider base material and place the lower jaw such that it grabs both sides of the narrow strip in an even manner. As an alternate test method, a ca
15、librated spring scale with the capability to detect a minimum of 15 pounds may be used. However, the one side of the wider base material shall be firmly affixed while both sides of the narrow strip may be fixed to the spring scale. The specimen shall be pulled down in a smooth, even manner as not to
16、 jerk the spring scale.
