The sample shall be loaded into cartridges assembled in accordance with Dwg. 8595432, consisting of Case, Caliber .30 (Dwg. 85954331, Propellant,
8、IMR-4895 (Dwg. 105347891, and primer, percussion, No. 43 (Dwg. 10535489). To establish the required propellant charge weight, a 20-round sample shall be tested for velocity in accordance with Section 18 of SCATP-7.62. If the average corrected velocity is not within 2640 f 30 feet per second (fps) or
9、 the velocity standard deviation exceeds 28 fps, a new charge weight must be established. Once the charge weight is established, the accuracy sample shall be assembled in accordance with Dwg. 8595432, consisting of the above listed components and the established propellant charge weight. The charge
10、weight and the overall length of each assembled cartridge from both the assessment quantities and accuracy sample(s) shall be measured and the values recorded. The accuracy test shall be conducted in accordance with Section 3 of SCATP-7.62 using a range of 600 yards. Alternately, a range of 300 yard
11、s may be used with the average of the mean radii of the targets multiplied by a conversion factor of 2.3. The propellant
