REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials and components. 3.1 .1 Materials. All materials cited on Drawing DL5-4-100
7、2 or on the subsidiary drawings shall conform to the specifications listed thereon, or to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings. 3.1 .2 Components. Al 1 components of the headpiece carrier shal I conform to the specifications and drawings listed on Drawing DL5-4-1002 und subsidiary

The carrier shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with Drawing D5-4-1002. 3.3 Seam strength. The seams shall withstand a mini
9、mum pull of 4.0 pounds when tested as specified in 4.6 at a steady pull rate of 2 inches per minute, 3.4 Workmanship. The headpiece carrier shall have neat, uniform and continuous seams and shall be free from wrinkles, punctures and tears and foreign matter (dirt, oily and viscous material). 4. QUAL
10、ITY ASSURANCE PkOVISIONS 4,l Responsibility for inspection. Suppliers responsibility will be as specified in the contract or order. 4.2 Special provisions. 4.2.1 Alternative inspection. The supplier may utilize any alternative inspection procedures which will provide equal or better assurance of qua
11、lity by submitting a written proposal with justification and obtaining written approval from the Government prior to instituting the procedure. In case of dispute, the procedures of this specification will govern. 4.2.2 Objective evidence. The supplier shall provide objective evidence acceptable to
12、the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.3 Lotting. A lot shall consist of the carriers produced by one manu- facturer, at one plant, from the same materials, under essentially
13、the same manufacturing conditions. However, no more than one lot of vinyl material shall be represented in any one lot of finished carriers. 4.4 Sampling. 4.4.1 For examination. Sampling shal I be conducted in accordance with Level S-3 of Standard MIL-STD-105. 45 Inspection provisions. 4.5.1 For examination, Sample carriers shall be examined in accord- ance with the classification of d
15、efects and Standard MIL-STD-105. 4.5.2 For destructive tests. Th
17、e carrier shall be tested for seam strength in accordance with Method 1 O1 1 of Standard FED-STD-406, using one type I I specimen (figure 1OllA) from each sample carrier. The full width of the seam shall be within the constricted portion of the specimen and the long dimension of the specimen shall b

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY (For repair parts packaging see 6.3) 5.1 Packaging, level C. Carriers shall
19、 be suitably packaged in accord- ance with the manufacturers commercial practice for shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. 5.2 Packing, level C. Carriers packaged as specified in 5.1 shall be packed in a manner to insure carrier acceptance and safe delive
20、ry at first domestic destination. Containers shal I be in accordance with Uniform Freight Classification Rules or regulations of other carriers appl icable to the mode of transportation. 5.3 Marking. in addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, unit and intermediate packages
21、 and shipping containers shal I be marked in accordance with Standard MI L-STD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 intended use.
