10、racting officer.) 3. XEQUIREI4ENTS 3.1 Samples. 3.1.1 Guide sample. Guide samples of the end item, when furnished, are solely for guidance and information to the contractor (see 6.3). 12、duck, nylon. The 7.25 oz. nylon duck cloth shall be Olive Green 106, water repellent treated, conforming to type III, class 3 of MIL-C-7219. * 3.2.2 Cloth, pile, acrylic fiber pile, The lining cloth shall be acrylic knit pile, color Green conforming to class 1 of MIL-C-43251, except that the require
13、- ments for color matching, dullness, and colorfastness shall not apply. * 3.2.3 Webbing, nylon 3/4, 1-1/4 and 2-1/4-inch widths. The 3/4-inch type Ia, l-1/4-inch type III, and 2-1/4-inch type VILIc webbing before treatment, shall conform to class 2 of NIL-W-4088. The webbing shall be dyed Olive Dra
14、b 7 to match the standard sample (see 6.3). 3.2,3.1 Resin treatment. The webbing shall be resin impregnated to conform to class K of MIL-W-27265. 3.2.4 Tape, nylon. The nylon binding tape shall be dyed Olive Drab 7 and shall confonh to type III, 1 inch width of MIL-T-5038. * 3.2.5 Thread, polyester.
15、 The poiyester thread shall conform to type I, class 1, subclass B of V-1-285. Sizes shall be as follows: For attaching piece “A“, piece “B“ , body reinforcement, Size F flap reinforcements and side and bottom closing. For pocket, pocket flap, attaching lining to body and bottom, bartacking and bind
16、ing. Size E 3.2.5.1 - Color. The thread shall be dyed Olive Drab S-1 (C.A. 66022) and shall show fastness to weathering equal to or better than the standard sample (see 6,3). If no standard sample is available, the thread shall show good fastness to weathering. 3.2.6 Fastener tape, hook and pile, ny
17、lon. The hook and pile fastener tape shall be dyed shade Olive Green 106, and shall conform to type II, class 1, 5/8 inch of MIPF-21840. 3.2.7 Keeper with slide. The keeper with slide shall be steel, black, and shall conform to type X of HIPL-H-9890. 3.2.8 Fasteners,. The snap fasteners shall confor

19、 2B 3.2.9 Eyelet, aluminum, black. The black enameled aluminum eyelet shall conform to Dash No. ABE 131 of MIL-E-20652/1. 3.3 Construction. The construction shall conform in dl respects to the drawings listed in section 2 and as specified herein. * 3.3.1 Stitches, seams and stitchings. All stitching
20、, except bartacking, shall conform to FED-STD-751 as follows: Por attaching piece “A“, piece ItBtt, body reinforcement, Type 301, 6 to flap reinforcements and bottom closing. 8 stitches per inch For pocket, pocket flap, attaching lining to body Type 301, 8 to 10 stitches per and bottom, and for bind
21、ing. (As an option the stitching for attaching the.bottom lining to the inch bottom may be type 401, 8 to 10 stitches per inch). * 3.3.1.1 Automatic stitching. Automatic machines may be used to perform any of the stitch patterns provided the requirements for the stitch pattern, stitches per inch, an
22、d size and type of thread are met; and at least three tying, overlapping or backstitches are used to secure the ends of stitching. 3.3.1.2 Lubrication of thread. There shall be no lubrication of the thread prior to or during sewing (see 4.4.1.1). * 3.3.1.3 Type 301 stitching. Ends of all stitching s
23、hall be backstitched or over- stitched not less than 1 inch (1/2 inch for box stitching) except where ends are turned under or caught in other seams or Stitching. Thread tensions shall be main- tained so that there will be no loose stitching resulting in loose bobbin or top thread or excessively tig
