Unless otherwise apeciiied (see 6.1*1), the first article shali 3.2 General requirements. Cannons and parts thereof shall

7、conform to the draw- ings listed in Engineering Parts List 8768965 and the requirements of this spec- ification and MIL-(2-13931. 3.3 Functioning. Ali parts shall function smoothly without interference or erratic movement . 3.3.1 Breech mechanism. Cainming of the operating-crank during counterrecoil

8、 or remar rotation of the opersting-handle shall rotate the breechblock crank rearward and downward kc, nears the opened position, V:.: lips of the extractors shall rotate sharply rear- ward to extract the cartrid- ;ase. The extractors shall then lock the breech- block in the opened positit -uitil t

9、ripped, normally by insertion of a cartridge, The breech mechanism, with the closing-spring-adjustor set for minimum preload, shall. then raise the brevzhblock to the closed position. Counterclockwise rotation of the adjustor shall increase the preload of the closing spring. 3.3.2 Firinn mechanisin

18、13931. 4. QUALITY ACSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspectinn requirements as specified herein. the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other

19、 facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such in- spections are deemed necessary to assme that supplies and

20、services conform to prescribed requirements. Except as otherwise specified in 4.2 Quality assurance terns and definitions. Quality assurance tems and definitions shaU. be as specified in MIL-STD-109. 4.3 Classification of inspection. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as foL

21、ows: a. First article inspection (see 4.4) b, Quality confonnance inspection (see 4.5) 4.4 First article inspection. Final examination of each cannon shall be ccsnpleted 4.5.1.2 inspection approval stq. The app

24、lication of the inspection approval stamp shall be as specified in MIL-C-13931. 4.5.2 Inspecton equipnent. tion of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies are listed in DL 8768965. Data lists containing equipnent used in the inspec- 4.5.2.1 Acquisition, maintenance, and disposition. Unless otherwise s

25、pecified, responsibility for acqulsition, maintenance, and disposition of acceptance inspection and test equpnent prescribed in the List of Inspection Equipment DL giT68965, and for all other inspection equi-Ement required to perform inspec- tion prescribed by applicable specifications, shall be in

26、accordance with MIE S-45607. 4.5.2.2 Accuracy of standard measuring equlpuent. When camnercial and modified comercial, inspection and test equipnent is used, it shall be capable of repeti- tive measurements to a.n accuracy of 10 percent of the total tolerance of the characteristic being inspected. 4

Firing mechanim overtravel shall be gaged on each breechblock before insertion in the breech ring. measured with Gage 3773831 or
