S. Amy Edgewood Research, Development and Engineering Center; Department of the Army, and is av

2、ailable for use by all Departments andAgencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers an electrical control module functioning as a distribu- tion center for 28 volt (V) direct current (DC) and 208 V, 400 Hertz (Hz), 3-phase electrical circuits. 2. 10、 the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been ob- tained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials and components. 3.1.1 Materiais. All ma

11、terials cited on Drawing 5- 19-6906 shall conform to the specifica- tions listed thereon and to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings listed thereon. 3.1.2 Components. All components of the control module shall conform to the specifica- tions and drawings listed on Drawing 5-19-6906

12、. 3.2 Manufacture and assembly. The control module shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with Drawing 5- 19-6906. 13、to the schematic representations on Drawings 5-19-6907 and 5-19-6908, and shall perform as specified in 3.3.1 through 3.3.7 when the applicable air pressures, voltages, and circuit sequences are applied to specific junc- tions on the control module and tested in accordance with 4.4.6. 3.3.1 Intercon

14、necting circuits. There shall be continuity between the circuit points in table I and an open between the circuit points in table II when tested as specified in 4.4.6.2. TABLEI. 16、.3.2 System power circuit breaker. There shall be an open circuit between test point 2 and pin E of 54 with the system power circuit breaker open and continuiy with the breaker closed when tested as specified in 4.4.6.3. 3.33 PE system circuit breaker. There shall be an open circuit between pins A a

17、nd G of 55 and test point 2 with the protective entrance (PE) system circuit breaker open and continuity with the breaker closed when tested as specified in 4.4.6.4. 3.3.4 Power relay circuit. The power relay shall pull in and there shall be continuity between the circuit points in table III when te

19、- B 54 - C 3.3.5 Indicators. All indicators (see Drawings 5- 19-6907 and 5- 19-6908) on the module shall light when tested as specified in 4.4.6.6. 3.3.6 Warning system. When tested as specified in 4.4.6.7, the warning system shall function as follows: The MASK indicator shall flash and the horn sha

20、ll sound with a pulsating tone be- tween 0.5 and 1.1 inches water gauge (iwg). The peak horn level shall be at least 68 dB in at least one octave band between 200 and 5000 Hz. After 15 to 25 seconds, the horn shall silence and the MASK indicator shall stop flashing and remain ON. The MASK indicator

21、shall go out be- tween 0.5 and 1.1 iwg. 3.3.7 DC voltage. The dc voltage shall be 30 k 3 volts between test point 2( +) and test point 5(-) when tested as specified in 4.4.6.8. 3.3.8 hss of power. The MASK indicator shall flash and the horn shall sound with a pulsat- ing tone when the 208 Vac input

22、power is lost when test as specified in 4.4.6.9. 3.4 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to the first article inspection in accordance with 4.3. 3.5 Workmanship. The control module shall be free from cracked, bent, or dented metal sections, sharp edges, and foreign m

23、atter (dirt, oil, or viscous materials). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (exami- nations and tests) as specified herein. E

24、xcept as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Govern- ment reserves the right to perform any of the inspect

25、ions set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall be

26、come a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to as- certain conformance to requirements, howev

28、er, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept de- fective material. 4.1.2 Contractor assurance of compliance. The contractors quality program or detailed in- spection system shall provide assurance of compl

29、iance of ail characteristics with the applicable drawing, special packaging instruction, and specification requirements using, as a minimum, the conformance criteria specified herein. 4.13 Alternative inspection provisions. Alternative inspection procedures, methods, or equipment, such as statistica

30、l process control, tool control, and other types of sampling proce- dures may be used by the contractor when they provide, as a minimum, the level of quality as- surance required by the inspection provisions specified herein. Prior to applying such alternative procedures, methods, or equipment, the

31、contractor shall describe them in a written proposal submitted to the Government for evaluation and approval. (See 6.3.) When required, the contractor shall demonstrate that the effectiveness of each proposed alternative is equal to or-better than the quality assurance provisions specified herein. I

32、n cases of dispute as to whether the contractors proposed alternative provides equal quality assurance, the provisions of this specification shall apply. All approved alternative inspection provisions shall be specifi- cally incorporated into the contractors quality program or detailed inspection sy

33、stem, as appli- cable. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classi- fied as follows: (a) First article inspection (see 4.3) (b) Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4) 4.3 First article inspection. First article inspection shall apply to repair part co

34、ntracts or purchase orders only. 4.3.1 Sample. The first article sample shall consist of three control modules manufactured and packaged (when military packaging is required) using the same methods, materials, equip- ment, and processes as will be used during regular production The first article sam

35、ple shall be submitted for inspection and approval in accordance with the terms of the contract. 43.2 Inspections to be performed. As determined by the Government, the first article sam- ple items shall be examined and tested in accordance with this specification using either the first article proce

36、dures in this specification or other first article procedures which will be provided by the Government. If any first article sam

38、ple item fails to comply with any of the ap- plicable requirements, the first article sample shall be rejected. The Government reserves the right to terminate inspection upon any failure to comply with any of the requirements. The con- tractor shall obtain written approval from the contracting activ

39、ity prior to proceeding with regu- lar product ion. 4.4 Quality conformance inspection. 4.4.1 Lotting, A lot shall consist of the items produced by one manufacturer, at one plant, from the same materials, under the same manufacturing conditions, and at the same time. 4.4.2 Sampling. Sampling shall b

40、e conducted in accordance with the classification of char- acteristics in 4.4.5 and, when specified, table IV. Samples shall be selected at random. 4.43 Inspection procedure. Every item in the lot shall be inspected for critical characteris- tics. The lot represented shall be rejected when nonconfor

41、mance to a critical characteristic is found. Sample items and, when applicable, the packaging thereof shall be examined and tested in accordance with the classification of characteristics in 4.4.5. Failure of any sample item to conform to any characteristic in the classification of characteristics b

42、ased on the sampling and acceptance criteria specified therein shall be cause for rejection of the lot represented. 4.4.4 Inspection characteristics. Critical characteristics are characteristics whose noncon- formance to specified requirements is likely to result in hazardous or unsafe conditions fo

43、r indi- viduals using, maintaining, or depending upon the product or whose nonconformance to specified requirements is likely to prevent performance of the tactical function of a major end item. Major characteristics are characteristics whose nonconformance to specified require- ments is likely to r

44、esult in failure or to reduce materially the usability of the item for its intended purpose. Minor characteristics are characteristics whose nonconformance to specified require- ments is not likely to reduce materially the operation or usability of the item for its intended purpose. 4.4.5 Classifica

45、tion of characteristics. Quality conformance examinations and tests shall be as specified in the following classification of characteristics paragraphs. When specified herein, accept on O and reject on 1 attributes sampling inspection shall be performed on the designated characteristics using the st
