This specification covers the loading, assembling and packing for one type of propelling charge for designated as charge propelling, M4A2, for 155mm cannon, M1, M45, M126, M185 and M199. 2. APPLICA

Inspection lots shall comply with the lot formation provisions of MIL-A-48078.
7、In addition, inspection lots of propelling charge assemblies shall con ta in: a. Propellant from not more than one lot number from one b. 10、pressure of each charge. Velocity coils shall be used to measure the muzzle velocity for each charge. Copper crusher gages (2) shall be 4.5.5.1 Muzzle velocity and muzzle velocity standard deviation. Determination of acceptance will be in accordance with MIL-STD-414, Section B, Table B3, AQL of 0.65
11、%. Seven zone 7 charges each shall be conditioned-to 70oF and 145OF. with calibration charges and the muzzle velocity and pressure of all test charges will be corrected to standard conditions. In adition, if the velocity standard deviation of the 70F sample multiplied by the factor 0.68 exceeds the
12、applicable lot requirement, the lot shall be rejected. The average weights of the empty increment assembly and nominal weights of CBI or BPI and Potassium Nitrate/Sulfate together with the nominal weights as specified
