REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material.- Materials shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications, RDX - MIL-R-398, Type B, Class C Calcium Resinate - MIL-C-20470, Type II, except that Graphite - JAN-G-155, Gr

10、ade I or II the material shall pass a number 100 United States Standard Sieve 3.2 Lead cup assembly.- The lead cup assembly shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing 8876218 and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications. Including the surface of the RDX shall be free

11、 of all cracks or laminations prior to application of the green lacquer. 3.4 Moisture content.- The moisture content of the RDX composition at the time and site of loading shall not exceed 0.20 percent when determined as specified in 4.4.5. Functioning.- The lead cup assembly shall be capable of hig

12、h order initiation by an M55 detonator across a minimum air gap of 0.J65 inches when tested-in accordance with 4.4.7. High order detonation will be evidenced by a depression in the lead block approximately 51 16 tnch in diameter and a minimum of ,125 Inches in depth. 3.3 Cracks or laminations.- The

13、lead cup assembly, 3.5 3.6 Workmanship.- All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated, loaded and assembled in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free of burrs, sharp edges, cracks, dirt, grease, rust and other foreign matter. be InJurious to any part, nor shall the parts be contaminated

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 General quality assurance provisions.- Unless otherwise specifled in the contract or purchase order, the eupplier Is responsible for the performance of all Inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, t

17、he supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed r

18、equirements. MIL-STD-109 In order to define terms used herein. of MU,-A-2550 shall apply. of product is submitted to the Government for acceptance, the contractor shall supply the following Information accompanied by a certificate which attests that the information provided is correct and applicable

19、 to the product being submitted: a. A statement that the lot complies with all of the quality assurance provisions specified within this specification. b. Number of units of product inspected. C. Results obtained, by defect code, for all inspections performed. d. Drawing, specification number and da

20、te, together with an identification and date of changes. e. Certificates of conformance on all material purchased by the contractor when such material is controlled by Government or commercial specifications referenced in any of the contractual documents. f. g. Date submitted. Reference shall be mad

21、e to The provisions Submission of product.- At the time the completed lot. 4.1.1 Number of items in the lot. The certificate shall be signed by a responsible agent of the certifying organization. The initial certificate submitted shall be substantiated by evidence of the agents authority to bind his

Substantiation of the agents authority will not be required with subsequent certificates unless, during the course of the contract, this authority is vested in another agent of the certifying organization. 4.2 First article inspection.- Not applicable. 4 I. 24、lection of units of product from which a representative sample is drawn and inspected to determine conformance of the lot with applicable requirements. The sample selected shall represent only that quantity of units from which the sample was drawn and shall not be construed to represent any prior or

25、 subsequent quantities presented for Inspection. the lot has been produced by one manufacturer, in one unchanged process using the same materials and methods, in accordance with the seme drawings, same drawing revisions, same speciflcations and same specification revisions. Changes to the process, s

26、pecifica- tions, or drawings, not affecting safety, performance, inter- changeability, or storage, as determined by the Government, shall not be deemed to alter the homogeneity of the lot. lots shall comply with MIL-STD-105. 27、se approved by the Contracting Officer, the inspection lot size of end items deliverable under the contract shall be not less than the smallest weekly estimate of quantities contractually scheduled for production during the contract period, nor more than the largest monthly quantity contractually sc

28、heuled for delivery during the contract period. Inspection lots of components or sub-assemblies, other than the items of delivery, shall be homogeneous and of a size mutually convenient to both the contractor and the Government inspector. Lot numbering, as required, shall be in accordance with MIL-S

29、TD-1168. Each lot of lead cup assemblies shall contain; lot number from one manufacturer. a. Metal parts or metal parts assemblies of one interfix bo RDX from not more than one batch or blend of batches. 4.3.2 Examination.- Sampling plans and procedures for the following classifications of defects s

30、hall be In accordance with MU-STD-105 (ABC-STD-105), except that, inspection for Critical defects shall be 100 percent. Contractors sampling plane, If used, shall be approved by the Government, and shall provide, as a minimum, the protection afforded the Government by the sampling plans in MIESTD-10

32、 may be applied to the individual characteristics listed using an AQL of 0.40 percent for each Major defect and an AQL of 0.65 percent for each Minor defect except where 100% inspection is specified. Equipment necessary for the performance of the inspections listed shall be in accordance with 4.3.4.

34、nce Gage Gage Visual Visual Defect Code (See 6.2) (O1001 1 (01002) (01003) (01004) (01005) 4.3.3.1 Composition (See dwg. 8876218), Major defect, Code No. (02001).-A sample of approximately four (4) ounces of the unconsolidated material shall be selected for the performance of these analyses. Failure

35、 to comply with all of the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection of the lot. Major defect, Code No. (03001).-At the time and place of loading, a sample of approximately twenty (20) grams of unconsolidated material shall be selected from each lot and subjected to this test, If any sampl

36、e fails to comply with the applicable requirement, the lot shall be rejected. The test shall be conducted as specified in 4.4.5. 4.3.3.2 Moisture content of RDX (See Paragraph (Para,) 3.4), 4.3.3.3 Process functionin test (See Para. 3.51, MZ or shall be selected from each four (4) hours production a

37、nd sub- jected to this test. If any assembly fails to comply with the applicable requirement, the four (4) hours production represented by the sample shall be rejected. The test shall be conducted as specified in 4.4.7 4.3.4 Inspection equipment.- Equipment Tabulation (ET) number 8876218 and Equipment Lists (ELS) referenced thereon identify the inspection equipment required to perform the examinations and tests prescribed in this sec

The con- tractor shall design inspection equipment in accordance with the instructions in 6.3. 4.3.4.1 Government rights to documentation.- Inspection equipment drawings and lists provided and revised in accordance with the requirements of this specification may be used by DOD activities for d

41、esign, procurement, manufacture, testing, evaluation, production and receiving inspection, overhaul, shipping, storage, identification of stock, ordering and storage of replacement parts, inspection of items at overhaul, general maintenance of equipment, construction, survey, and whenever inspection

42、 equipment drawings are needed. 4.3,4.2 Supply and maintenance.- Supply and maintenance of the equipment listed on the ELIS shall be in accordance with MIL-1-45607. 4.3.4.3 Government use of contractors inspection and test equipment.- The contractor shall, when required by the Government, make avail

43、able all inspection and test equipment necessary for determining conformance with the contract requirements. Personnel for operating the equipment, and verification of its accuracy shall be supplied by the contractor for the performance of examination or test by the Government. 4.4 Test methods and

44、procedures. 4.4.1 Determination of Calcium Resinate or Stearic Acid Content.- Transfer an accurately weighed portion of approximately 5 grams (gm) of the specimen to a tared medium porosity, sintered glass crucible. Extract the sample with three separate 20 milliliter (ml.) portions of chloroform wh

45、ich has been previously saturated with RDX, maintaining each portion in contact wlth the residue for approximately five minutes before applying suction. Stir occasionally to break up any lumps which may persist and wash down the sides of the crucible with each 20 ml. portion of 7 Provided by IHSNot

47、le and contents in a drying oven at 100 degrees Centigrade (“C.) to 105C. for one half hour, cool in a desiccator and weigh. Repeat the above extraction, drying and weighing procedure with individual 20 ml. portions of chlotofenn until the loss in weight 0n subsequent extractions totals less than 0.

48、003 gm. Calculate the loss in weight of the crucible plus contents to percent calcium resinate or stearic acid, as applicable, en a moisture-free basis as follows: Percent calcium resinate or stearic acid = 100A W where: A = Less in weight of the crucible plus contents. W = Weight of specimen on a m

49、aisture-free basis. 4.4.2 Determinatien of Graphite Centent of Binder-Lubricant (when applicable).- Extract the residue remaining after the calcium resinate or stearic acid has been removed with two 20 ml. portions of dimethylfermamide, maintaining each pertion in contact with the residue fer approximately five minutes with intermittent stirring befere applying suction. Wash the crucible and contents with a minimum of three 20 m
