REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials. Materials and parts shall be in accordance with a applicable drawings and specifications. 3.2 Conta

The containers shall comply with al1 requirements specified on drawing 9378162 and associated drawings and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications and standards. 3.3 Weldinq. The welding shall comply with the requirements of MIL-W-12332 or MIL-STD-1261. 3.3.1 Tensile stre
17、ngth. When tested as specified in 4.5.1, the tensile strength of the body material shall be in accordance with drawing 9378177 and the tensile strength of the longitudinal body weld shall be not less than 65 percent of the tensile strength of body material. 3 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduc

The painted surface of the container shall comply with the requirements o TT-C-490. However, the film thicknesB and salt spray requirements of TT-(2-490 shall not apply t
19、o the interior mrEaces, welded spots, sharp corners and crevices of the exterior surEace of the container. Bare spots permissable on aLb bearing sur faces 3.5 Cover assembly. Upon assembly of the cover assembly to the body weldment (body assembly) , the cover assembly shall Ereely engage and rotate
20、within the body weldment. As the cover assembly is rotated with the “Yn handle in the open position, the “Yn handle shat ende shall freely engage into the respective bayonet slots of the rim. When the “Yn handle is in the closed position (rotated 18S), the spring clip shall engage and lock the handl
21、e in place and a 0.06 inch diameter pin shall pass through the handle and shaft support holes, When the spring clip is disengaged and the handle rotated to the open position, the cover assembly shall disengage Emm the body weldment. 3.6 First article inspection. When specified in the contract OE pur
22、chase order, a sample shall be subjected to First Article Inepection (see 4.3). 3 . 7 WOE kma-. 3.7.1 Containers, The containers shall be regular, smooth, and Eree fzom wrinkles, pin holes, cracks, rough spots, burrs, sharp edge and any other defect that might: afect the Serviceability, durabiXityr
23、safety or appearance of the container. 3.7.2 Paint coatinq. The paint coating shall be in accordance with applicable drawings and comply with instructions in MIL-STD-371. 3.7.3 Parts. A11 parts shall be free of chips, dirt, grease, rust: and foreign material. The cleaning method used shall not be in
24、jurious to any o the parts nor shall any Q the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agents used. from any creases, wrinkles, cracks, rips, tears and any other defect which might offset the serviceability, durability, safety and aggeacance o the insert. 9.7.4 Lnsexts, The inserts shall be regular, s

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase ord
26、er, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the - performance of the inspection requirements specified he
27、rein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. I .- 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All
28、 items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in this specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsi
29、bility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for accepfance comply with all requirements of the contract. Samplin in quality conformance does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accepta
30、nce of defective material. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The following types of inspection shall be conducted on this item: a. First article inspection. (see 4.3) b. Quality conformance inspection. (see 4.4) 4.3 First article inspection. 4.3.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit a first art
31、icle sample as designated by the Contracting Officer for evaluation in accordance with provisions of 4.3.2. Inspection lots shall comply with the lot ormation provisions o MIL-A-48078. In addition, inspection lots of containers shall contain
