SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers the assembly of one type of discriminator, designated as Discriminator, Anti-Tank, Mine M2 a

2、nd Spool Assembly. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 The following documents of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids or request for proposals, form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. REQUIREMENTS 3,l Materials and parts.- Materials and parts shall be in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications. 3,2 Assembly.- The assembly shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing (dwg,) 9221336 and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications. 3,

8、3 Continuity and resistance of assembly (dwg. 9231962) .- The resistance of the discriminator assembly shall be five ohms, maximum, when tested as specified in 4.4.1. 3.4 Discriminator.- The discriminator shall comply with the following requirements throughout the temperature range of minus 25 degre

10、nt discriminator segments. as specified in 4.4.2. The test shall be performed 3.4.2 Non-functioning of discriminator.- The discriminator shall not function when a force of one pound, minimum, is applied to any two adjacent discriminator segments. The test shall be performed as specified in 4.4.3. 3.

The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth i

17、n the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Reference shall be made to Standard MIL-STD-109 in order to define the terms used herein. The provisions of Specification MIL-A-2550 shall apply. Submission of product.

18、- At the time the completed lot of product is submitted to the Government for acceptance the con- tractor shall supply the following information accompanied by a certificate which attests that the information provided is correct and applicable to the product being submitted: a, A statement that the

19、lot complies with all quality assurance provisions specified within this specification. b, Nwnber of units of product inspected. c, Results obtained, by defect code, for all inspections performed. d. Drawing, specificatSon number and date, together with an identification an8 date of changes, e, Stat

20、ement of findings on fungus resistance of fully com- pounded insulation material prior to extruding and molding and Certificates of aonformance on all material purchased by the con- tractor when such material ia controlled by Government or commercial specifications referenced in any of the contractu

21、al documents. The certificate shall be signed by a responsible agent of the certifying organization. The initial certificate submitted shall be substantiated by evidence of the agents authority to bind his principal. required with subsequent certificates unless, during the course of the contract, th

22、is authority is vested in another agent of the certifying organization. 4.1.1 . f, Number of items in the lot. g. Date submitted. In no instance 4.2 First article inspection 4.2,1 Submission.= The contractor shall submit a first article I sample as designated by the contracting officer for evaluation in accordance with the provisions of 4.2.2. The first article s

26、ample shall consist of 15 assemblies and 15 complete sets of parts (i.e. 15 each of every component and every sub-assembly) which have been produced by the contractor or furnished by a supplier and which have been manufactured using the same production processes, procedures, and equipment which will

27、 be used in fulfilling the contract. parts and materials, including packaging and packing, shall be obtained from the same source of supply as will be used in regular production, Prior to submission, the contractor shall inspect the sample to the degree necessary to assure that it conforms to the re

28、quirements of the contract and submit a record of this inspection with the sample, including certificates of conformance for materials, (see 4.l.le). submitted unless specifically authorized, by the Contracting Officer. A first article sample, or portion thereof, as directed by the con- tracting off

29、icer, shall also be submitted whenever there is a lapse in production for a period in excess of 90 days or whenever a change occurs in manufacturing process, material used, drawing or specifi- cation such as to significantly affect product uniformity as determined by the Government. 30、taining known defects will not be 4.2.2 Inspections to be performed.- Assemblies and components will be subjected by the Government to any or all of the examinations or tests specified in 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 of this specification and any or all requirements of the applicable drawings. 4.2.3 Rejection.-

31、If any assembly or component fails to comply with any of the applicable requirements, the first article sample shall be rejected. The Government reserves the right to terminate its inspection upon any failure of an assembly or component to comply with any of the stated requirements. 5 Provided by IH

32、SNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-4.3 Inspection provisions 4.3.1 Lot formation.- The term lot as used throughout this specification refers to an inspection lot, which is defined as an essentially homogeneous collection of units of product from which

33、 a representative sample is drawn and inspected to determine con- formance of the lot with applicable requirements. selected shall represent only that quantity of units from which the sample was drawn and shall not be construed to represent any prior or subsequent quantities presented for inspectton

34、. shall be considered to exist provided the lot has been produced by one manufacturer, in one unchanged process, in accordance with the same drawing, specification, or revision thereof. Changes to either the process, specification, or drawing not affecting safety, performance, interchangeability, or

35、 storage, as determined by the Government inspector, shall not be deemed to alter the homogeneity of the lot. Each lot shall contain: a. Parts of one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. b. Compounded insulation material from one lot from the same manufacturer. Inspection lots shall comply wit

36、h MIL-STD-105 and shall be numbered in accordance with MIL-STD-1168. Unless otherwise approved by the contracting officer, the inspection lot size of major assemblies or end items deliverable under the contract shall be not less than the smallest weekly estimate of quantities contractually scheduled

37、 for production during the contract period nor more than the largest quantity contractually scheduled for delivery during any month of the contract period, other than the items of delivery, shall be homogeneous and of a size convenient to the contractor. 38、r components or sub-assemblies, 4.3.2 Examination.- Sampling plans and procedures for the following classification of defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105 except that inspection for critical defects (and majors, when so specified) shall be 100 percent. Contractors sampling plans, if used,

39、 shall be approved by the Government and shall provide as a minimum, the protection afforded the Government by the sampling plans in MIL-STD-105. Continuous sampling plans in accordance with MIL-STD-1235 for defects other than critical may be used if approved by the procuring activity. Also, at the
