15、4.3 Testin . - Testing is described in the First 4.4.4 nspection equipment, - The inspection equip- ment requirecd to perform the examinations and tests pre- scribed in this specification is identified, either directly or by reference, in the “Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method column of the Firs

16、t Article or Quality Conformance Inspection Tables herein. The contractor shall submit inspection equip- ment designs to the Government for approval in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-24-48078 and 6.2 herein. ( Article and. -+ Qua ity Conformance Inspection tables. 4.

17、5 Test methods and procedures. 4.5.1 Materials, components and processes - Compliance with all requirements of Section 3 of this specification shall be ascertained by current and continuing examination of inspection and test data to determine that all components (parts, subassemblies, and materials)

18、 have been inspected and tested and found to comply with their respective drawing and specification requirements, and that all specified rnanu- facturing processes have been followed. Moisture content. of barium chromate/boron. The moisture content of barium chriJmate/boron shall b e determined for

19、each lot at the time of loading. in sufficient quantity to perform the test shall be selected and tested as specified herein. The moisture content of the barium chromate/boron shall be determined in accordance with MIL-STD-650, Method 101.5. 4.5-2 A sample 4.5.3 Moisture content of lead azide. - The

20、 moisture content of lead azide shall be detemined as specified in 4.5.2 except, .a two gram sample shall be selected and the dish covered with a sheet of polytetrafluoroethylene. 4.5.4 Moist-ure content of HMX. - The moisture content o# HMX shall be determined as specified in 4.5.3. 4,5.5 GoZd plat

22、mbly. - The plug assembly shall be assembled to the equipment and tested in accordance with Method 211 of MIL-STD-202. and header shall be observed for compliance with the drawing requirement (test samples shall not be returned to the lot) . The electrode 4.5.7 Insulation resistance between electrod

23、e and header of .plug assembly. - The required D.C. voltage shall be applied to the plug assembly between the electrode and the header for not less than one or more than two seconds. If the resistance measures less than the specified resistance, the plug assembly shall be classed defective and remov

24、ed from the lot. 4.5 . 8 Resistance between electrode and cup of detonator,. The resistance between the electrode and the cup of the de- _ tonator after assembly shall be measured with an ohmmeter which limits the current to one Ci) milliampere. Tf any detonator fails to comply with the requirements

25、 specified on the applicable drawing, it shall be removed from the lot. 4.5.9 Functioninq. = The detonator assemblies shall be temperature-conditioned at 70 plus or minus 5 degrees F for two (21 hours I minimum, prior to performing the functioning, tests. shall be 1/8 inch, minimum, and optionally r

26、ound, 1.22 - .O1 dia. No confining sleeve shall be used. Witness plate hardness shall be Rockwell B80 to B95. The base of the detonator shall be placed directly against the center of the witness plate without tape or grease and electrical contact made through a clip which will provide a minimum conf

27、inement of the detonator. One lead shall be affixed to each electrode. The measurement . of the depression in the witness plate shall be accomplished with a dial indicator equipped with a probe having a .O03 plus and minus .O01 spherical radius. The tests shall be performed as specified in MTL-STD.

Vibrate the detonators for 15 minutes, minimum, in a plane which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the detonator. Sweep the frequency range of 25-500-25 hertz with two plus

PREPAFTION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packaginq . 5.1.1 Level .B.- - Electric detonators shall be

36、packaged in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations Title 49, Para 0-190. In addition, each detonator shall be electrically .shorted during shipment and storage by means of a metallic connection between the electrode and cup. When destined for shipment and uncovered storage in excess of 180 days

38、r comparable container, after blunting corners, shall fie placed in a water and vapor proof bag manufactured in accordance with Type I, Class E of MIL-B-117. The bag shall be closed. All excess air shall be exhausted from within the bag and the bag then sealed in accordance with the manufacturers in

39、- structions. The seal shall be located at the edge of the bag to provide for a minimum of two C21 subsequent seals, if required. The seal shall comply with the heat seal re- quirements of mIL-P-116. electric detonators shall be packaged in accordance with 5.1.1, except that the barrier bag is not r

40、equired. 5.1.2 Level C. - Unless otherwise specified, the 5.2 Packing 5.2.1 Level B. - A suitable number of detonators, packaged as -ed in 5.1.1, shall be packed in an outer box in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations Title 49: Transportation of Explosives and Other Dangerous Articles, Paragr

41、aph 173.66. 5.2.2 Level C. = Unless otherwise specified, electric detonators sm packed as specified in 5.2.1. 5.3 Markln , - Each inner container and intermediate carton set4 or comparable container shall be printed, stamped or labeled and each barrier bag printed or stamped in accordance with the f

46、re than two years, or under adverse conditions for any period of time. If the specification for the ammunition item into which the detonators are loaded does not require that the check test be performed, the contracting officer should in- sert a provision for the performance of the check test in the
