The parts shall comply-with all requirements specified on Drawings (dwgs.) 9358081, 9358082, and 9358083 as applicable, and with all requirements specified in applicable a specifications. 3.3 First article inspection. T
13、his specification contains provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for the submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. 3.4 Workmanship. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated and finished in a thorough workmanlike manner and all ma
14、nufacturing, processing, and assembly operations shall be correctly performed. They shall be clean and free of cracks, gouges, burrs, sharp edges, unblended radii, surface defects, chips, dirt, grease, and oil (except where specifically required), corrosion products, and other foreign matter. The cl
15、eaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agent. Exterior surface coatings shall be continuous except for a few light scratches not exposing base material. All required markings shall be neat, and sharply defined. All packing shall be d
16、ry. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this detail specification. 4.1.1 Responsibility for complianc
17、e. All items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the res
18、ponsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling in quality conformance does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to a
19、cceptance of defective material. a 3.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection. b. Quality conformance inspection. 4.3 First article inspection. 4.3.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit a first article sa
20、mple as designated by the Contracting Officer or evaluation in accordance with provisions of 4.3.2.
