ITEM CASE: Lapel buttons to be presented in a case shall be mounted and centered on a polyethylene pad and placed in a rigid hinged plastic box having a transparent lid and opaque bottom section. The box shall have two plastic
6、hinges and catches and shall be approximately 1-1/8 inches square and 5/8 inch in overall depth. The pad shall be of sufficient depth to restrict movement of the lapel button. NOTES: 1. The manufacturer may deviate from MIL-DTL-11484 by applying a nickel underplating prior to applying the requisite
7、24K gold plating. 2. Hard cloisonn enamel may be used in lieu of epoxy enamel. If hard cloisonn enamel is used, the requisite base material for this item is Gilding Metal 95/5 (UNS Alloy No.C-210).
