REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materi
8、als and components. 3.1 1 Materials. All materials cited on Drawing DE-66-273 or on the subsidiary drawings shall conform to the specifications listed thereon or to the specific characteristic set forth on the drawings. 3.1.2 Components. All components of the headpiece shall conform to the specifica
9、tions and drawings listed on Drawing DL5-66- 273 and subsidiary drawings. The components of the filter unit
10、 shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with their respective assembly drawings which are listed on DL5-66-273. 3.3 Workmanship. The filter unit shall be free from damage such as bent, chipped or burred metal parts and cracked, kinked or torn rubber parts, and foreign matter (dirt, grease
11、, oil or viscous material). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. 4.1 . 1 Suppliers responsibility. Unless otherwise spec Fied in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein, Except as
12、 otherwise specified, the suppl er may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure suppl es and services
13、conform to prescribed requirements. 4,1.2 .Objective evidence, The supplier shall provide objective evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.2 Reaular mod
14、uction. 4.2,1 Lotting. A lot shall consist of the filter units produced by one manu- facturer, at one plant, from the same materials, under essentially the same manufacturing conditions. However, no more than one lot of air purifiers shall be represented in any one lot of finished filter units. 4.2.
15、2 Sampling for examination. Sampling shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.2,3 Inspection. 4.2.3,1 For examination. 17、 Component incorrectly assembled Workmanship (3.3) 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Cleaning and drying. The filter unit and its components shall be cleaned in accordance with method C-1 of MIL-P-116 and dried in accordance with any of the drying methods listed in MIL-P-116. 5.2 e. 5.2.1 Unit preserv
18、ation and packaging. 5.2.1.1 Hose assemblies. Fittings attached to hose assemblies shall be cushion- wrapped with greaseproof carrier material conforming io iype II, grade A, class 2 of MIL-B-121 or wrapping paper conforming to type II of MIL-P-130, The wrap shall be secured in place by tying or tap
19、ing. 5.2.1.2 Accessory kit. Washer, machine screws, wood screws, and nuts shall be packed in accordance with method ICI of MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.3 .Technical publications and drawings. Technical publications and drawings shall be packaged in accordance with method IC3 of MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.4 Headpiece and
20、carrier assembly. The hose assembly (M5) consisting of two each hose assemblies Drawing C5-66-269 and plug and socket Y-fitting, the - accessory kit, and the technical publi
22、cation; and drawings, processed as specified in 5.2.1.1, 5.2.1.2 and 5.2.1.3, shall be packaged in a style RSC, type SF, class weather-resistant, grade W5s fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-636, having approximate inside dimensions of 12-1/4 by 10-1/4 by 3-1/4 inches, The box shall be closed and se
23、aled in accordance with appli- cable requirements in the appendix of the box specification. 5.2.2.2 Hose assembly. The hose assembly (M4) consisting of two each hose assemblies Drawing (3-66-269 and one each hose assembly Drawing C5-66-230, processed as specified in 5.2.1 . 1 shall be packaged in a
24、style RSC, type SF, class weather-resistant, grade W5s fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-636, having approximate inside dimensions of 12-1/4 by 10-1/4 by 5 inches. 5.2.2.3 Headpiece and carrier assembly. The headpiece and carrier assembly processed as specified in 5.2.1 o 4shall be packaged in a st
25、yle RSC, type SF, class weather-resistant, grade W5a fiberboard box which has approxi- mate inside dimensions of 12-1/4 by 10-1/4 by 5 inches and conforms to PPP-B-636, 5.2.2.4 Purifier, air, M2A2, The air purifier shall be packed in accordance with the level A requirements specified in MIL-P-51070.
26、 5.2.2.5 Transformer unit. The transformer unit shall be packed in accordance with the level A requirements specified in MIL-T-14605, 5.3 Packing. Level shall be as specified (see 6,2), 5.3.1 Level A. The filter unit, consisting of items preserved and packaged as specified in 5.2, shall be packed in
27、 a style A or B cleated plywood box c6n- forming to PPP-B-601. The plywood used in the construction of the boxes shall conform to group A of NN-P-530 or type I, grade 3 or 4 of CS-35. Plywood shall not have continuous holes or openings extending through the entire panel from face to back. The box sh
28、all be closed and strapped in accordance with the appendix to PPP-B-601. Strapping shall conform to type I, class B of QQ-S-781 . 5,3.2 Level Co The filter unit, preserved and packaged as specified in 5.2 shall be packeato insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to the first domestic destination
