3、 Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This document covers the sections of the medium, light metal, maintenance tent frame with auxiliary lighting and guying equipment. The end section provides for 8 feet (two end bays each 4 feet) in length and each intermediat

4、e section provides for an additional 8 feet in length of frame. 1.2 Classification. Sections of the frame shall be classified as follows (see 6.2): End section. Door section. Prior to approval of the first article, if one is submitted, or prior to commencing production, the contractor shall submit to the contracting officer or his authorized representative satisfactory evidence that all flexible cords and fixture wire he proposes to furn

24、ish under this document meet the applicable requirements of UL Standard No. 62. 3.2.1.1 UL. Acceptable evidence of meeting the requirements of UL shall be a UL listing-mark or a certified test report from a recognized independent testing laboratory acceptable to the Government, indicating that the f

25、lexible cords and fixture wire have been tested and conform to UL Standard No. 62. .Y. 3.3 Materials and components. Identification marking of castings is not required. a. Die castings (AZOlA) shall conform to QQ-M-38. b. Permane

30、nt and semipermanent mold castings shall conform to composition AZ63A or AZ91C, temper T4, of QQ-M-55. C. 33、he chemical requirements of table I when tested as specified in 4.6.1 and the mechanical requirements of table II when tested as specified in 4.6.2 and 4.6.3. At the option of the contractor, extruded commercial ZK40B-TS magnesium alloy may be used as an equivalent for the extruded and cold worked A

34、Z31B-H26 magnesium alloy, provided items that require forming be processed in the following sequence: Forming is to be done at room temperature; within 12 hours after forming, the components are to be loaded into a temperature controlled oven and raised to a temperature of 350F, then held at that te

35、mperature for a minimum of one hour. removing the heat source, the oven is to remain closed for not less than two hours before opening for product removal. This stress relief procedure is necessary to reestablish the T5 condition. The chemical composition of extruded ZK40B-T5 magnesium alloy items s

36、hall conform to the percentages specified in table I when tested as specified in 4.6.1, and the minimum mechanical properties shall conform to table II when tested as specified in 4.6.2 and 4.6.3. Nylon rollers shall conform to composition polyhexamethylene adipamide (nylon 6/6) and natural without fillers as specified in L-P-410 except t

41、hat the material need only meet the specific gravity, melting point, and tensile strength requirements. 3.3.8 Rope, nylon. Nylon rope shall conform to MIL-R-17343 except that only the circumference and breaking strength tests shall be required. 3.3.9 Bolts, nuts, rivets, threaded inserts, and washer

The bolts, nuts, rivets, threaded inserts, and washers shall be of the materials, type, and size specified on the drawings. cadmium plated in accordance with the manufacturers standard practice for commercial items. The incorporation and inclusion of such a component in the design of the specified end produ

46、ct shall not require modification or change to any other specified component and shall not reduce ease of maintenance to it or any other components, unless such modification or change is specifically approved by the contracting officer. Prior to manufacture of the preproduction first article or, if
