This specification covers the manufacture of metal parts and pyrotechnic signature cartridges for one type of point detonating practice fuze designated as Fuze, Point Detonating, Practice, M779, for use on Cartridge, 60MM, Practice, Short Range, M7

Inspection lots shall comply with the lot formation provisions of MIL-A-48078. In addition, inspec
20、tion lots of M779 fuzes shall contain: a. Primed 20 gauge shells of one inspection lot. from one manufacturer. b. Springs (for each type independently) of one inspection lot from one. manufacturer. c. Met-al or plastic parts from one. inspecti.on lot. from one manufacturer. d. No more than thirty th
21、ousand or no less than five thousand fuzes per inspection lot. e. Minimum inspection lot size of all components shall be 5000. f. Fuze chambers from one inspection lot. from one manufacturer. 9. Fuze sleeves from one inspection lot from one manufacturer. h. Pyrotechnic composition from one inspectio
22、n lot. from one manufacturer. Examinations and tests. a. Classification of characteristics. Quality conformance examinations and tests are specified in the following Classif icat.i.on of Characteristics paragraphs. The contractors quality program or detailed inspection system shall provie assurance
23、of compli ance of all characteristics with the applicable drawing and specification requirements utilizing as a minimum the conformance criteria specified. 27、uipment, such as statistical process control, tool control, variables sampling or other types of sampling plans, etc., may be used by the contractor when they provide, as a minimum, the level of quality assurance required by the provisions herein. Prior to applying such alternative procedures, metho
28、ds or equipment, the contractor shall evaluation (see 6.7). When required, the contractor shall equal to or better than the specified quality conformance provision(s) herein. In case of dispute as to whether the contractors proposed alternative(s) provides equivalent assurance, alternative provision

For examination under SPC, the following shall be used: (1) Quality conformance inspection utilizing SPC. The contractor may choose to utilize SPC on any or all p
31、arts: however, its use is mandatory on those parts specified in 4.1.3.1. Prior to first article inspections and tests, the contractor shall submit an SPC implementation plan for approval by the Government. The plan shall provide as a minimum, information regarding the following: (a) Procedures inclu
32、ding organizati.onal/personnel responsibilities to be followed to demonstrate that the process is controlled. (b) Procedures including organizational/personnel responsibilities to be followed after process is in control. (c) Procedures including organizational/personnel responsibilities to be follow
33、ed if the process goes out. of control and what must be done to demonstrate that the problem has been corrected and the process is back in control. (2) Acceptance criteria under SPC. Parts that are being manufactured under SPC do not have to undergo acceptance inspection in accordance with a specifi
34、c sampling plan. Under SPC, acceptance shall be based on the following criteria: (a) The process is in control (all points on the control chart are within the control limits).
