SCOPE 1.1 This

2、specification covers one type of Air Defense Weapon System which consists of an electrically powered, six-barrel, 20 milli- meter (mm) gun with linked feed and amunition system, radar range, lead computfng sight and fire control system mounted on a towed, two wheel vehicle. The 1671 towed, XIMM, Air

3、 Defense Artillery Gun is hereafter referred to as the weapon system. 2.1 Issues of documents. The following documents of the issue in effect on the date of invitation for bids or request for proposal, form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. 24、 NORMAL. At the boresight telescope mounted on the antenna, observe that the cross mirs within the reticle are positioned on the distant aiming point. Repeat saeps (bb) through (ee) except in step (cc) drive the antenna to the right. At the stow control, place the MODE togge switch to STOW. Using th

The weapon system SU be towed over terrain and road conditions at speeds specified in 3.3.28 using a

33、tem shall be tested when stabilized at 1250 after four hours in a storage temperature at 155? in accordance with Procedure I, Method 501 of MIL-STD-810. The weapon system shall be exposed to rain and Wind conditions in accordance with Procedure I, Method 506, of MIL-STD-810. 4.6.31.4 Humidity t

The weapon system shall be subjected to humidity conditions for seven cycles of 12 hours each in accordance with Procedure I, Method 507 of MIL-STD-O. stand storage at 100 percent relative humidity at a temperature of 859. 38、 be subjected to a salt fog test in accordance with Procedure I, Method 509 of MIL-STD- 810. 4.6.31.7 Dust test. The weapon system shail be subjected to blowing dust, with particle size from 0.0001 to 0.0100 mm and wind speeds of i5 knots, in accordance with Procedure I, Method 510 of MIL-STD-810. 4

39、.6.31.8 Shock test. The weapon system shall be shock tested in accordance with Figure 516-1 of Procedure I, Basic Design Test for Ground Equipment, shock parameters b and d, Method 516 of MIL-STD-810. 4.6.31.9 Sand test. The weapon system shai.1 be operated at speeds up to 30 miles per hour in sandy

40、 terrain with wind speeds of 35 knots. The weapon system shall be operated, with the vehicle both stati0n.y and moving, in blowing sand having a pa2ticle size from 0.01 to 1.00 m, and with wind speeds of i5 knots or greater. Laboratory produced conditions shall be permitted for this test. 4.6.32 4.6

Two component pasts from each inspection lot of repair parts that are produced specifically for this system shall be tested for interchangeability in accordance with a Contractor submitted, Government reviewed plan. This .an shall be submitted to the Govern-

46、ment no later than 10 calender days prior to scheduled delivery of initial lot of repair psrbs. Any failure to demnstrate interchangeability shall cause rejection of the lot of parts. No hand refinements will be allowed for retest. Four parts shall be selected fmmthe reconditioned lots for interchan

47、geability testing. 4.6.33 Electromagnetic interference characteristics test . The weapon system SU be tested in accordance with the test methods of Mpl-STD-462 to determine comp3iance with 3.6. 4.6.33.1 System and radar compatibility test. With the system in the “RADAR MODE? .the gun mount shall be

48、traversed at maximum slew rate in both clockwise and counterwise direction. (The ready to fire light shall remain off to determine compliance with 3.6.i.)
