REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Descri tion - The engin5 generator set consists of an air-cooled, one cylinder, four stroke *

9、 cyc e, gasoline engine directly operating o 14 pole, permanent magnet generator producing 400 cycle, 115 valt a.c.; a rectifier assembly producing 28 volts d.c.; an automatic recoil rope starter, control panel, voltage regulator, governor, speed adjuster, mufflers and other devices required to achi

10、eve a complete engine generator set; all mounted and arranged fui operation within an occoustical case. 3.2 Procurement model.- A procurement model of the equipment will be availoble for insrlection by prospective bidders and will be lent to the contractor. Unless otherwise . specified herein or in

11、the invitation for bids, tho equipment shall conform to the following: 3.3 Physical construction. Physical construction of the generator set shall conform to the model as specified herein, 3.3.1 Features.- The generator set shall incorporate all features of the model. 3.3.2 Performance. - The contra

12、ctor shall adiust the model tor optimum performance and then shall measure its performance characteristics. Performance of the equipment shall conform to those measurements, except that, in case of conflict between specified performance characteristics and the performance of the model, specified per

13、farmonce characteristics shall govern. 2- -, -? 3.4 Preproduction samples. - The contractor shall furnish two (2) preproduction samples for approval provided the invitation for bids cnd conkact requires samples. 15、erein. Matetiol not definitely specified shall be of the quality entirely suitable fw the purpose. Material shdl be free from oil defects and imperfections that might affect the seniceability of the finished product. 3.5.1 Meter.- Meters shall conform to Specification MIL-M-10304. 3.5.2 Switches. -

16、Toggle switches shall conform to Specification MIL-S-3950. - - 3.5.3 Rectifiers, metallic. - Selenium rectifiers, sholl conform to Specification MIL-R-11 050. 3.5.4 Knobs. - Control knobs sholl csiifonn to Specification MIL-K-3926. 3.3.6 Resistors. - Fixed film resistors shall conform to Specificati

17、on MIL-R-l05509/3. - 3.5.8 Rotating joints.- Bearings for rota!ing parts, which are located in aluminum housings or suppork shall have separable slccves or bushings to protect the aluminum . housing or support from damage cause by excessive heat or wear. All moving parts shall be provided with means

18、 of lubricant. 3.6 Engine.- lhe engine shall be gasoline driven, air-cooled, one cylinder, four stroke cymth a continuous duty rating of not less than 1.5 horsepower at a nmil speed of 3600 revolutions per minute. It shall be capable of meeting the requirements specified herein, when operating at a

19、speed rf 3428 R. P. M, when supplied with fuel conforming to Specification MIL-G-3056 or MIL-F-5572. The engine shall meet the lubricating oil consumption test of 4.19. 3.6.1 carburetor. - The engine shall be quipped with a gravity feed carburetor and shall be-adjustable to meet the altitude conditi

20、ons specified herein. 3.6.1.1 Fuel conrum tion. The fuel consumption rate of the engine-generator set shall be determinedand +- recor ed in accordance with the tests of 4.18. 3.6.2 Engine speed gownor.- lhe engine shall be equipped with o centrifugal type govenor and shall be readily adjustable, wit

22、ecoil type starter. The starting cable and handle shall extend through the front panel as required by 3.11 . 3.6.4 Engine speed adiustment,- The speed of the engine shall be adjustable by means of a control that will vary the voltage through the range of 109 to 120 volts. 3.7 Generator, p.ermanent m

23、agnet.- The generator used in conjunction with the engine shall meet the following characteristicr: a, Frequency: 400 cycles . b. Poles: 14 C. Speed: 3428 r. p.m. d. Output: 0.5 KW, single and three phase. 3.7.1 SHORT CIRCUIT test. - The generator after subjection to the test of 4.9 shall show no vi

24、sual damage, and shall continue to operate and maintain rated output, 3.7.1 , 1 Overload capacity. The generoor and associated electrical components and circuitry shall maintain without any damage, 125 percent of rated load output for one hour. (See 4.8.1.1). 3.8. I A-C power. - 115 volts, single ph

25、ase, 400 cycle, a-c, shall be obtained from the single phase winding of the generator, when using the dummy load as specified in 4.8-1 1 3.8.1.1 Volta e regulation, - Voltage regulation shall be 16 percent maximum when . working into 400 + watt 0.95 power factor) load. 3.8.1.2 Frequency regulation.

28、 3.8.2.2 D-C Ripple voltage.- 13 volts, peak-to-peak maximum (includes interaction in engins generator), as measurod on an oscilloscope, Dumont Model %;A, or equal. 29、output performance. The muffler provided for the engine-generator assembly shall consist ot o two-section unit employing a silencer. 33、generator together with all other items, shall be installed on a structure, forming the engine-generatot assembly. 3. i3 Fuel line.- A fuel line assembly, 26 inches in length, shall be provided for connecting CAN , Gasoline, Gravity Feed kX-2380/ti, to the fuel-connector located on the front panel o

34、f the sngino-generator, after thu gasoline can is installed on the cuse for operation purposes. The assembiy shall include quick disconnect fittings to provide leak- proof connections when fuel line is in use. the engine-generotor assembly shal I be ot weather proof construction and shall embody cus

46、O Lt MIL-G-S5123(SigC) 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Contractors reponsibi1ity.- The suFplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the ,dpp!ier may utiiire his own or any otherinspection facilities and services ac

47、ceptable to the Government. Inspection records of the examination and tests shall be kept complete and available to the Government as specified in the contract, The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necssz

48、ary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.2 Classification of inspection.- Inspection shall be classified as follows: (a) Preproduction inspection (does not include preparation for delivery). (See 4.3) (b) Acceptance inspection. (1) Acceptance inspection of equip

49、ment before preparation for dellvery. (See 4.4 and 4.5). 4.3 Preproduction inspection,- This inspection will be performed by the Government unless otherwise specified in the contract. It shall consist of the preproduction inspection specified in table 1, the inspection specified in the subsidiary documents covering the items listed in 4.4, and the inspection specified for group A, group B and group C (see tables
