The contractor shall have available verifiable proof (i.e., objective evidence (see 6.2.1) that materials and components were fabricated, inspected, and tested un

、der controllable conditions as set forth in the contractors quality control or inspection procedures. 3.2 Assembly. The combination lock assembly shall comply with all requirements specified on drawing (dwg.) 9349435, with all requirements specified herein, and with the requirements of applicable sp

、ecifications to the extent specified on the drawings and herein. 3.3 Combination selection. All procurement actions for this combination lock assembly should be based on achieving a broad mix and the least number of duplications of three-letter combination codes within the total lot being procured.

、For example, in a lot of 3000 combination locks, there should be no more than three locks in the lot with the same code. If fewer than 1300 locks are procured in any one lot, the combination lock part numbers (dash numbers) shall be selected from the total range of 1331 available numbers. This shoul

、d be accomplished by selecting every other dash number, or every third dash number, or every fourth dash number, etc., as appropriate, to obtain the broadest mix of codes within the lot size being procured. The listing of combination lock dash numbers, and associated three-letter combination codes,

、is specified in the Appendix. The following 12 combination codes shall never be used, regardless of lot size (they are included in the Appendix to maintain continuity of the combination lock dash numbers) : ABC, AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD, EEE, FFF, GGG, HHH, III, JJJ, and KKK. 3.4 First article. When speci

The lock shall be functioned five times by unlocking, extending the bolt, retracting the bolt, and locking. Each of the three code wheels shall then be rotated, three full t

、urns in both directions, and the maximum torque required to turn eacki code wheel for one full turn, in both the CW and CCW directions, shall be between 2 - 10 inch-pounds. During this test, the lock shall not fail to function, and each code wheel shall be capable of being rotated smoothly in each d

、Low temperature. The lock shall withstand a low temperature of -25O + 5OF for a minimum period of 4 hours, without evidence of deterioration or damage that may impair its intended operation. While at the low temperature (at the end of the low-temperature exposure period), the lock shall comply with

、the functioning and operational torque requirements of 3.5. Testing shall be as specified in 4.5.3. of 95 -I- 5 percent and a temperature of 130 + 5OF without evidence of corrosion and without evidence of deterioration or damage that may impair its intended operation. After this test (at room temper

、ature), the lock shall comply with the functional and operational torque requirments of 3.5. The lock shall be disassembled, and each part shall be visually inspected. There shall be no evidence of corrosion and no evidence of deterioration or damage that may impair its intended operation. The lock

、shall then be reassembled, and it shall comply with the functional and operational torque requirements of 3.5. Testing shall be as specified in 4.5.4. 3.8 Humidity. The lock shall withstand a relative humidity 3.9 Serialization. Not applicable. 3.10 Workmanship. All parts and accessories shall be co
