2、mical Command, Department of the Army, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers one type of smoke pot. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Government documents. 2.1.1 Specifications, standards, and handbooks. Unless

The issues of the documents which are indicated as DoD adopted shall be the issue listed in the current DoDISS and the supplement thereto, if applicable. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specifica- tion shall take precedence. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Mater

11、ials and components. All materials for components cited on the applicable drawings, which is listed on TDPL 36-1-26 shall conform to the speci- fications listed thereon and to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings. 2 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitt

The container (Drawing 36-2-226) shall not leak when subjected to an internal air pressure of 15 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) and tested in accordance with 4.5.2. The cover, outer (Drawi

13、ng 36-2-128) and the cover, inner (Drawing 36-2-227) shall not leak when subjected to an air pres- sure of 5 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) and tested in accordance with 4.5.1 and 4.5.3, respectively. 3.3 Handle lug separation. The lugs (Drawing 36-2-193) shall not separate from the outer cover

14、 assembly (Drawing 36-2-128) nor from the inner cover assem- bly (Drawing 36-2-227) when subjected to a 50 pound load per lug when tested in accordance with 4.5.4. 3.4 Preproduction. Prior to the start of regular production, a preproduc- tion lot of components shall be produced in accordance with th

15、is specification for examination and tests. 3.5 Workmanship. The components shall be free from contamination (foreign matter) and damage such as dents, cracks and deformation which would impair their intended use. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. 4.1.1 Contractors r

16、esponsibility. Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance

The contractor shall provide objective evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.1.3 Inspection equ

19、ipment. For inspection equipnient required to perfom the examination and tests prescribed herein; the contractor shall submit for approval, inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the con- tract. (See section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein). 4.2 Classification of inspections. T

21、ction. 4.3.1 - Lot. A preproduction lot of components shall be produced using the same methods, materials, equipment and processes as will be used in regular pro- duct ion. 4.3.2 Sampling. 4.3.2.1 For examination and nondestructive test. Sampling shall be con- ducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105,

The outer cover shall be placed in a con- tractor designed fixture and test Set-up (see 4.1.3 and 6.3) so that a pressure of 5 pounds per square inch gauge is maintained against one side of the cover. Leakage is indicated by a steady stream or a recurring succession of bubbles from the surface of the cover, especially the areas of the lug handle welds. 4.5.2 Container leakage test. designed fixture and test Set-up (see 4.1.3 and 6.3) s

45、xture with the cover shall be immersed in water for at least 30 seconds. Leakage is indicated by a steady stream or a recurring succession of bubbles from the surface of the cover, especially the areas of the lug handle welds. 4.5.4 Handle lug separation test. The lugs shall be subjected to a direct

46、 pull of 50 pounds or the handle held by the lugs shall be subjected to a direct pull of 100 pounds. Any weld separation shall be cause for rejection. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Industrial. Coumercial/industrial packaging, which is normally used to support production line operations, shall be in accordance wi
