REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material.-The PBX pellets shall conform to all the require- ments specif ied on applicable drawings ancl referenced specif ications. 3.2 Density.-The density of the

10、 Pi3X pellets shall conform to the requirements specified on applicable dravings when tested as specified in 4.4.1. 3.3 Composition.-The PBX pellets shall be homogeneous. The chemical composition shall be determined as specified in 4.4.2. 3.4 Workmanship .-?ne pellets shall be free of dii7t, grease,

11、 and other foreign matter, The pellets shall be firmly compacted, free of soft spots and powdery areas. for first article testing. 12、SSURANCE PROVISIOIJS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.-Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirenents as specified herein, Except as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his o

13、wn or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supp

14、lies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Reference shall be nade to Standard MIL-STD- 109 in order to define the terno used herein. 4,.l Submission of product.-At the tine the completed lot of product is submitted to the Government for acceptance, the contractor shall supply the followi

15、n(: information accompanied by a certificate which attests that the information provided is correct and appicable to the product being submitted: a. A statement that the lot complies with all requirements and quality assurance provisions specified fn this specification. b. Specification number and d

16、ate, together with an identifi- cation and date of changes. ci Certificates of analysis on all naterials used directly by the contractor when such material is controlled by Government specifications shall be made available upon request by the Contracting Officer. 3 Licensed by Information Handling S

The initial certificate submitted shall be substantiated by evidence of the agents authority to bind his principle. required with subsequent certificates unless, during th

Substantiation of the agents authority will not be 4 . 2 4.2.1 Submission.-lhe contractor shall submit a first article sample consisting of 100 PBX pellets in accordance with instructions issued by th

19、e Contracting Officer for evaluation in accordance with ! paragraph 4 . 2.2. All samples sutmittecl shall have been produced by the contractor using the same production processes, procedures, and equipment as will be used in fulfilling the contract. All materials, including packaging and packing, sh

20、all be obtained from the same sources of supply as will be used in regular production. The sample shall be accompanied by certificates of analysis. A first article quantity, or portion thereof, as directed by the Contracting Officer, shall also be submitted whenever there is a lapse in production fo

21、r a period in excess of 90 days, or whenever a change occurs in manufacturing supply as to significantly affect product uniformity as determined by the Government. Prior to subnission, the contractor shall inspect the sample to the degree necessary to assure that it conforms to the requirements of t

22、he contract an submit a record of this inspection with the sample. A sample containing known defects will not be submitted unless specifically authorized by the contracting officer. First Article Inspection 4.2.2 Inspections to be perforned.-The sample will be subjected by the Government to any or a

23、ll of the examinations or tests specified in 4.3 and 4.4 of this specification and any or all requirements of the applicable drawings. Rejection.-If any sample fails to comply with any of the appioable requirements, the first article quantity shall be rejected. The Government reserves the right to t

24、erminate its Inspectiion upon any failure of a sample to comply with any of the sta plans, if used, shall be approved by the Goveriiment and shall provide as a minimum, the protection afforded the Goverrinent by tiie sampling plans in MIL-STD-105. Continuous sampling plais ir1 accordance with MIL-ST

25、D-1235 may be used if approved by the procuring activiky. Also, at the option of tiie procuring activity, AC/Lo an sanpling plans may be applied to the individual characteristics listed, using an AQL of 0.40 percent for each Major defect and an ARL of 0.65 percent for each minor defect. 1.3.2.1 PBX

If the total weight of either of the samples described above (beginning or end) is less than 100 grams, then additional pellets shall be selected from the pelletizing operation (beginning and en

Inspection cocle numbers.-The five-digit code numbers “f0llOWin : -accordance with Standard MIL-STD-1171. 6.2 assigned to the inspections herein are to facilitate data collection and analysis by

38、 the Goverment. Theoe code numbers are also used to correlate the characteristics cited on Equipment Lists with the inspections listed in this specification. Mhese code numbers shall be listed on drawings of-equipment &esi-Ens and inspection data sub- mitted -by the contractor. 7 Licensed by Informa

39、tion Handling ServicesMIL-P-50977 (MU) 6.3 Inspection Equipment Designs.-Inspection equipment designs are of two types - Government Special Inspection Equipment (SIE) designs and contractor designs. SIE designs are designated by drawing numbers (on the Gqiiipnent Lists referenced on the Equipment Ta

40、bulation) or (under the “Method of Inspection“ headings in Section 4). Design responsibility for all other inspection equipment is assigned to the contractor. Equipment to be designed by the contractor is designated “CDtl. The contractor need not furnish any design when a complete Government SIE des

41、ign is provided. Unless otherwise specified, however, the contractor nay subnit alternate or modified contractor designs of SIE in accordance with 6.3.2 and 6.3.3 should he elect to do so. 6.3.1 SIE designs.-SIE desir,ns may consist of any of the following: a. b. A source control drawing or a specif

An envelope drawing, as defined in MIL-STD-100, Detailed drawings which completely depict all information necessary for the fabrication and use of the item of inspection equipment. drawing as defined in MIL-STD-100. which establishes the criteria which a detail design shall meet.

43、When envelope drawings are specified, the contractor shall prepare designs which comply with the criteria therein. 6.3.2 Contractor designs.-Contractor designs are required for all inspection equipment for which SIE designs are not specified and may include comercial equipment which the contractor p

44、roposes to use. (Commercial equipment is defined as unmodified equipment which is cataloged and available for purchase by the general public.) Contractor designs shall include appropriate operating instructions, calibration procedures and maintenance procedures. equipment shall be fully described by

45、 catalog listings or other means which provide sufficient information to permit identification and evaluation by the Governnent and may include illustrations and engineering data. Desians shall be prepared for any special fixture(s) required to be used with commercial equipment, or with SIE designs

46、if not otherwise covered thereby (see 6.3.1). Designs shall be of the category and form (per MIL-D-1000) specified in the Contract Data Requirements Lists (DI) Form 1423). 49、time frame and distribution specified in the Contract Data bquirements List (DD Form 1423) or in the contract. Partial submission of inspection equipment designs is permissible and encouraged. However, the completion date for design review will be based on the date of the final submission of designs.
