Materials s

The moisture content of
8、the primer mixture ust:d in loading the primers shall not ex- ceed 0.30 percent when tested as specified in 4.3.1, 3.4 Functioning. 3.4.1 Sensitivity. The primers shall func- tion on the first attempt under an applied energy of 11.86 inch ounces, and shall cause an audible report when fired against
9、a stand- ardlead disc, the test shall be as specified in 4.3.3.1. 3.42 Wterproofness. 11、 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 General quality assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified in the contract. or purchase order, the supplier is responsi- ble for the performance of all inspection re- quirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his o
12、wn facilities or any commercial labora- tory acceptable to the Government. The Gov- ernment reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specifica- tion where such inspections are deemed nec- essary to assure supplies and services con- form to prescribed requirements. Refere

(e) Statement of findings on the primer mixture and associated ingredi- ents and a certificate of conform- ance on all material purchased by the contractor when such ma- terial is controlled by Govern- ment specification referenced in any of the contractual documents. 17、f) Number of items in the lot. (g) Date submitted. The certificate shall be signed by a responsi- ble agent of the certifying organization. The initial certificate submitted shall be substan- tiated by evidence of the agents authority to bind his principal. Substantiation of the agents authority M11
18、 not be required with subsequent certificates unless, during the course of the contract, this authority is vested in another agent of the certifying organization. 4.1.2 Govenunent verification. Using the contractors written quality assurance pro- cedure, this detail specification, the applica- ble d
19、rawings and other contractual docu- ments as a guide, the Government inspector shall verify at unscheduled intervals all quality assurance operations performed by the contractor. Verification will be performed to the extent necessary to assure compli- ance with the contractual reqliirements. Severit
20、y of Government inspection of in- dividual characteristics will be directly re- lated to the seriousness of the classification assigned. In no instance will a characteristic classifie4 “critical” be accepted solely on the basis of the contractors records . 4.2 Inspection provisions. 4.2.1 Lot fol-ma
21、tion. A lot shall consist of primers produced by one manufacturer in one unchanged process, in accordance with the same drawing, same drawing revision, same specification and same specification re- vision. Drawing, specification, and process changes not affecting safety, performance, or fit, as dete
22、rmined by the Government, shall not necessitate changing the lot inter- fix number. Lots shall be submitted for in- spections in accordance with Standard MIL STD-105 (or Standard MIL-STD-1235 when applicable). Each lot shall contain : . -. (a) Parts bearing the same lot interfix number from one manu
23、facturer. (b) Primer mixture from one batch or blending of batches which results in homogeniety of all primer mixture used in loading the en- tire primer lot. 4.2.2 Examination. Sampling plans and procedures for the following classifications of defects shall be in accordance with Stand- ard MIL-STD-
24、105 except that inspection for critical defects, when listed, shall be 100 percent. Continuous sampling plans in ac- cordance with Standard MILSTD-1235 may be used, for defects other than critical, if aproved by the procuring activity. Also, at the option of the procuring activity, AQLs m-3 tiamplin
25、g plans may be applied to the individual characteristics listed using an AQL of 0.40 percent for each major defect and an AQL of 0.65 percent for each minor defect. To approximately 120 ml of distilled water in a ?&liter rea
36、gent bottle, 125 rn of ferric ammonium sulfate shall be added. The reagent bottle shall be stoppered, vigorously shaken for several minutes, and then allowed to stand overnight. Portions of the saturated solution shall be filtered be- fore use. 4.3.2.2.2. Procedzwe. A portion of approxi- mately 1 gm
37、 of the sample shall be ac- curately weighed directly into a tared 30 ml sintered glass crucible of medium porosity. A 6.0 mi portion of 1 percent nitric acid shill be added, and the crucible constantly swirled for 1 minute, in order that all the ingredients of the powder except antimony sulfi3e be
38、dissolved. Care shall be taken that none of the liquid be spilled. The mix- ture shall be filtered by applying suction. employing a vacuum flask. The crucible shall be removed from the adapter, and the bot- tom wiped dry with tissue paper. The wash- ing operation shall be repeated, using 6.0 ml of 1
39、 percent nitric acid each time, and the contents swirled for exactly I minute. After a total of 40 mi of 1 percent nitric acid has been used, the crucible shall be removed, and the bottom of it washed with water. The funnel, the funnel adapter, and the vacuum flask shall be washed with water, and th
40、e filtrate and washings discarded. About 1 mi of a saturated solution of ferric am- monium sulfate shall be placed in the flask. The contents of the crucible shall be treated 8 as before with 6.0 ml of 1 percent nitric acid, and filtered by means of suction into the flask. If the liquid in the flask
41、 turns red, due to the presence of the thiocyanate ion in the filtrate, the washing of the contents in the crucible shall be repeated with addi- tional 6.0 mi portions of 1 percent nitric acid, until a negative test for the thiocyanate ion has been affected. (Usually a total of 50 ml shall be suffic
42、ient.) The crucible and contents shall be rinsed with alcohol, and then with ether. The solution shall be as- pirated until the odor of ether can no longer be detected. The crucible and contents shall be dried in an oven at 80 degrees plus or minus 1 degree C. for 30 minutes, cooled in a desiccator,
43、 and weighed. The percentage of antimony sulfide shall be calculated as follows : A x 100 Antimony sulfide, percent = where : A = Weight of residue in the crucible. 44、paratus in MIL-STD-650 Method No. 407.1. free basis. 4.3.2.4 Lead thiocyanate. The percentage of lead thiocyanate in the sample shall be calculated on a moisture free basis by sub- tracting from 100 the sum of the per- centages of potassium chlorate, antimony sulfide, and lead azide, 4.3.3 Fu?tction
45、ing. 4.3.3.1 Sensitivity. The primer shall be as- sembled to the applicable test fixture speci- fied in 4.2.4, so that the firing pin will strike the sensitive end of the primer. The height of drop shall be measured as the height from the top of the firing pin to the bottom of the ball. A primer that fails to fire with an audi
47、ble report shall be classed defective. 4.3.3.2 Waterproofness. The primer shall he immersed under water maintained be- tween 60 degrees F, and 90 degrees F. at the required depth for the time specified. Within one hour after removal from the water the primer shall be subjected to the sensivity test
48、specified in 4.3.3.1. Any primer which fails to fire with an audible report shall be classed defective. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packaging. 5.1.1 Lese1 C. Packaging shall be as speci- fied on dwg, 7548104. 5.1.2 Intermediate packagifzg. The primers shall be packaged in accord
49、ance with dwg. 7548103. 5.2 Packing 5.2.1 Level C. The containers shall be packed in accordance with dwg. 7648118. 5.3 Marking. Inner, outer and exterior containers shall be marked in accordance with dwgs. 7548103, 7648104 and 7548118. 5.4 Data cards.
