When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be s

18、rmance requirements. 3.2.1 He at leakaae. Heat infiltration or loss through the container shall be minimized. 3.2.2 Air leakaue. Air leakage of the container shall be minimized. 3.2.3 Safetv. The container units shall minimize flammability, operational, toxic and personnel hazards. 3.2.4 Drainaae .
19、The container shall have floor drains which provide complete and total drainage of the container. The drains shall open automatically when subjected to pressures above normal internal pressure. closures. The drain openings shall be recessed below the bottom surface of the floor. The container shall be furnished with a red vapor proof pilot light, located e
26、xternally and protected near the door which illuminates when the interior light switch is in the “on“ position. 3.2.9 Pluu and receptac le. A weather-tight type receptacle, recessed, male, locking type, designed for 3-wire, 2-pole grounded service rated at 15 amperes, 125 volts, wired to the interio
27、r light fixture and located in the rear on the exterior, shall be provided. The plug provided shall form a weather-tight joint when the plug is inserted in the receptacle. The plug shall be captive to the container to prevent loss. 3.2.10 Temperatu re indicato ir. A Temperature indicator with a rang
28、e of -25F to +125*F shall be provided and installed.on the front exterior near the door. The sensing element shall be mounted inside at a location that will provide a mean temperature reading of the container. The Temperature Indicator and sensing element shall be protected from damage by use of a g
29、uard or other suitable protective device. 3.3 Interface and interomerabilitv recruirements. The container units shall satisfy the following interface and interoperability requirements. 3.3.1 Dimensions. Dimensions, tolerances and diagonal differences of the container shall meet the requirements spec
30、ified in IS0 668 for type 1D containers , except the minimum interior dimensions shall be 86 inches wide, 88 inches long and 83 inches in height. 3.3.2 Befr iuerator interface. The end wall opposite the door end wall shall have an opening as shown on figure 1 for mounting a refrigeration unit. The e
31、nd wall opening shall be of sufficient strength to support the refrigeration unit having a weight of 500 pounds. A plywood cover shall be provided when the refrigeration unit is not in place. There shall be sufficient space to mount an 18-inch deep refrigeration unit without the unit protruding outs
32、ide the corner fittings (see figure i). 3.3.3 Padlock. 33、F-44 015A (GL) with two keys. 3.3.4 Interchanueabilitv. Component parts of the refrigerator-container, which are replaceable, shall be interchangeable with the same parts of other containers furnished under the same contract. 3.4 Suwort or ownership reauirements. The container units shall meet the f
34、ollowing support or ownership requirements. 3.4.1 Weight. The weight of the container shall not exceed 3500 pounds. 3.4.2 1 irem n . The containers shall be structurally suitable for conveyance by road, rail and sea, including interchange between these forms of transport. 3.4.3 Corner fittinus. The
35、container shall have corner fittings located on all eight corners. The corner fittings shall conform to the dimensional and strength requirements of IS0 1161 and shall withstand all structural testing requirements herein. 3.4.4 -UD ler. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2) one spacer block and one c
36、oupler shall be provided with the container. Two couplers shall be of sufficient strength to allow for the connection of the bottom end corner fittings of two containers. The spacer blocks shall maintain a 3-inch space between the containers when attached to the upper end corner fittings. A storage
37、bracket for the spacer block and coupler shall be provided in the exterior refrigeration unit area of the container. 3.4.5 Forklift po ckets. The container shall have forklift pockets conforming to the requirements of IS0 1496-2. 3.4.6 Tie - do wns. The two interior side walls shall each have two re
38、cessed cargo tie-down rings located as shown in figure 1. 3.4.7 She1 vinq. Four individual sets of shelving shall be provided. Each shelving set shall be 42 inches long by 18 to 20 inches deep and 58 to 66 inches high with four shelves in each set adjustable in no less than 2-inch increments without
39、 the use of hand tools. Shelving s
40、hall comply with the applicable requirements of NSF Standard No. 2. Provisions shall be made to allow shelving to stand firmly on the container floor by means of foot plates or other suitable methods. 3.4.8 Data Dlates and mar kinq. When procurement is for the Marine Corps (see 6.2), data plates sha
41、ll be obtained from the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Code LMO-3, Washington, D.C. 20380, and securely attached to the door. The contractor shall imprint the data required in all spaces. 3.4.9 Fjnish. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2) the under structure and outside surfaces of the container sh
42、all be treated and finished with a nontoxic, odor free, chemical agent resisting coating. The color shall be green (see 6.7.1). 3.4.10 Sanitarv requirements. The interior surface of the container shall facilitate cleaning. 3.5 Environmental re-irements. The containers shall operate and be functional
43、 in ambient temperatures from -25F to +125F and meet the following operational and environmental performance requirements. 3.5.1 WeatherDroofness. The container door, all joints, and electrical components shall be weather-tight. 3.5.2 Corrosion resistance. The interior and exterior of the container
44、shall withstand exposure to a salt fog atmosphere without evidence of corrosion. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Class ification of inmections.
