Rules and Regulations. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1
8、 Materials and components. A.ll materi- als and oomponents cited on Drawing DL5- 46-58 and subsidiary drawings shall conform to the specifications listed thereon or to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings. 3.2 Assembly. The respirator shall be as- sembled to conform to Drawing D5-4
9、6-58. 3.3 Workmanship. The respirator shall be free from tears, perforations, and foreign matter (stains, dirt, oily or vi,scous material) 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility fur inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or pur- chase order, the supplier is respunsible fo
10、r the performance of all inspeation require- ments .as specified herein. Except as other- wise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commei-cia1 laboratory acceptable to the Government, The Govern- ment reserves the right to perfomn any of the inspeations set forth in the spe
11、cifimtiun where such inspeotions are deemed neces- sary to assure supplies and services conform Q prescribed requirements. 4.2 Special provisions. -_ - , - 4.2.1 Altemative inspection. The supplier may utilize any alternative inspection pro- cedure which will provide equal or better assurance of qua
12、lity by submitting a written proposal with justification and obtaining written approval from the Government prior to instituting the procedure. In case of dis- pute, the procedures lof this specification will govern. 4.2.2 Objective evidence. The supplier shall provide objective ,evidence acceptable
13、 to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for whiuh specific inspec- tion has not been provided in this specifica- tion have been satisfied. 4.2.3 Substation inspection. If the supplier elects to establish inspection substations for the purpose of conducting inspection f
14、or certain listed defeats, the Acceptable Qual- ity Levels (AQLs) for each inspection sub- station (shall be equal to the AQL whiah is the next numerically lower value than the AQL specified for the total listed defects. The requirements of MIL-STD-105 are ap- plicable to each sulbstation and to the
15、 end item. 4.3 Lottimng. A lot shall consist of Dhe res- pirators produced by one manufacturer, at one plant, frum the same materials, under essentially the same manufacturing condi- tions. Rowever, no Irnore than one lot of aloth shall be represented in any one lot of respirators. 4.4 Sampling for
16、examination. Sampling shall be conducted ;in accordance with MIE- STD-105. 4.5 Inspection provisions. 4.5.1 For examination, Sample respirators shall be examined in accordance with the classification of defects and MIL-STD-105. 4.5.2 Classification of defects. All seams and joints of paperboard or fiber- board boxes shall be taped as specified for interior F“rC boxes in the appendix to PPP-
18、 B-636. 5.1.2 Level C. Respirators shall be pack- aged in a *manner which will afford adequate protection against deterioration .and damage from the supply Bourc to the fist receiving activity for immediate use. 7 -7 IMIL-R33OSB 5.2 Packing. Paeking shall be level A or C as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.
19、1 Level A. Respirators packaged as specified in 5.1, shall be packed in a VC, style RSC fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-636. The size of the box, and the weight of box and contents shall not exceed the size and weight limitations of V3c boxes specified in PPP-P-636. llhe box shall be waterproofed
20、 by taping all seams, corners and the manufacturers joint as speoified in the appendix of PPP-B-636. 5.2.2 Level C. Respirators, packaged as specified in 5.1, shall be packed in such a manner as to insure camier acceptance and saf0 delivery to first domestic destination. containers shall comply with

In addition to any ,special marking required by the contract .or order, unit and intermediate packages and ship- ping containers shall be marked in accord- ance with MIL-STD-1
