REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Fabrication.- This Regulator shall be manufactured in accordance with Drawing Dl1733468 and all drawings pertaining thereto, and shall conform to the requirements of 3.3 through 3.3.2 inclusive. 3.2 Mate
7、rials.- Materials shall be in accordance with drawings, material specifications and general specifications forming a part of this specification. 3.2.1 Nonflammable materials.- External parts and coatings of the regulator shall be of nonflammable material. 3.2.2 Fungus resistant material.- Regulator
8、external parts shall be inherently nonnutrient of fungus. 3.2.3 Inclosure.- The regulator shall be inclosed in a metallic case.which shall be insulated from one input terminal and one output terminal and one battery contact. 3.2.4 External surfaces.- Surfaces shall exhibit no evidence of peeling, fl
9、aking, chipping, cracking, crazing, or other impairment of the coating subsequent to meeting the requirements specified herein. 3.3 Construction.- The regulator shall be manufactured in accordance with Drawing D11733468. Where specific manufacturing processes are not specified, good commercial metho
10、ds consistant with the present state of the art shall be employed. 3.3.1 Internal wiring.- Internal dress of wires shall assure that no electrical short circuits occur under mechanical shock and vibration. 3.3.2 Internal components.- Components in the regulator shall be rigidly secured to prevent pe
11、rmanent change in their relative position. Mounting methods shall not depend on solder alone for mechanical strength. Potting compound alone may be used to prevent movement of internal components, providing the compound does not flow at the specified maximum operating temperature (see 3.5.2). 3.4 Ge
12、neral specification.- The contractor shall be responsible for adherence to and compliance with the following requirements of Specification MIL-F-13926 : (a) Order of precedence. (b) Dimensions and tolerances. (c) Inorganic protective surface finishes. (d) Part identification and marking. (e) Workman

The regulator shall then be exposed to

16、least one hour. 3.5.2 Operating temperature.- Unless otherwise specified, the regulator shall meet the requirements of 3.6 and 3.7, after at least a two hour exposure, at the ambient temperatures of -40F and +125“F. 3.5.3 Hermetic sealing.- When thermally stabilized at an ambient temperature not in
17、excess of 100“F, the regulator shall exhibit no evidence of compound or air leakage when immersed (for no less than two minutes, and no more than three minutes) in a bath of water maintained at a minimum ambient temperature of 180F. 3.5.4 Shock.- The regulator shall show no evidence of damage when s
18、ubjected to 6 shock pulses parallel to, and 6 shock pulses perpendicular to its 1ong:tudinal axis, at an ambient temperature of 75 rt 15F. 20、en vibrated for 10 minutes in each of its 3 mutually perpendicular axes (total of 30 minutes) at an ambient temperature of 75 5 15F. The vibration shall be a simple harmonic motion having a 0.03 inch amplitude (0.06 inch total excursion). The frequency shall vary uniformly over a range of 10 to 55 c

22、ut terminal shall be polarized positive with respect to the regulator metallic case , which shall be negative and considered as electrical circuit ground. 3.6.2 polarization of output terminai.- The regulator output terminal shall deliver an electrical potential of positive polarity with respect to
23、the regulator metallic case, which shall be negative and considered as electrical circuito ground. 3.6.3 Polarization of battery terminal.- The regulator battery terminal shall be polarized positive with respect to the regulator metallic case, which shall be negative and considered as electrical cir
24、cuit ground. 3.6.4 Input potential.- The regulator shall be energized by a direct current (dc) electrical potential of from 18.0 to 30.0 volts. 3.6.5 Reverse polarity.- The regulator shall not be damaged by the application of electrical potentials of 3.6.4 in reverse polarity. 3.7 Performance - oper
25、ational.- The regulator shall exhibit no spasmodic or intermittent operation when meeting the following require- ments: 3.7.1 Electrical shock.- The regulator under full load (see 3.7.3) shall meet the following requirements after being subjected to one hour of intermittent operation consisting of a
26、 continuously repetitive 30 second ON and 30 second OFF cycle at an ambient temperature of 75 k 15F only. 3.7.2 Input voltage surge.- The regulator shall show no evidence of damage, and shall exhibit no increase in output voltage for any time period, when the regulator input is subjected to at least
27、 a 100 millisecond voltage spike having a minimum amplitude of 80.0 dc volts. 3.7.3 Output current.- The regulator shall deliver, under full load, at least 45.0 dc milliamperes when meeting the requirement 3.7.5. 3.7.4 Output voltage.- The regulator shall deliver a dc voltage of 2.65 5 .3 volts at a
28、ll operating temperatures described in 3.5.2. Above outputs shall be with an input voltage over the range specified in 3.6.4, 3.7.5 Emergency power source.- The regulator shall supply a voltage at the output connector equal to the voltage of two BA42 batteries. This voltage shall be connected to the
29、 battery contact positive with respect to case ground, with no voltage applied to the input. 30、L-R-48442 (MU) 3.7.6 Rise time.- The regulator shall meet the output voltage requirement of 3.7.5 within 3.0 milliseconds of applying an input voltage of from 18.0 to 30.0 dc volts. 3.8 Reliability.- The minimum operating life of the Regulator shall be 1000 hours of continuous operation, and shall m
31、eet all requirements of this specification. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specif
32、ied, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies a
33、nd services conform to prescribed requirements. The Government reserves the right to perform any of 4.1.1 General provisions.- The component and subassembly inspection requirements of MIL-F-13926 form a part of the quality assurance provi- sions of this specification. Definitions of inspection terms
34、 shall be as listed in MIL-STD-109. 4.2 First article (initial production) approval.- The requirement for first article approval and the responsibility (Government or contractor) for first article testing shall be as specified in the contract. The sample for first article approval tests shall consis
35、t of 10 regulators manufactured in the same manner using the same materials, equipment, processes, and procedures as used in regular production. All parts and materials, including packaging and packing, shall be obtained from the same source of supply as used in regular production. 4.2.1 Government
36、testing.- When the Government is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the contractor, prior to submitting the sample to the Government, shall inspect the sample to insure that it conforms to all the requirements of the contract and submit a record of this inspection with the samp
37、le, including certificates of conformance for materials. 4.2.2 Contractor testing.- When the contractor is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the sample shall be inspected by the contractor for all the requirements of the contract. The sample and a record of this inspection, in
38、cluding certificates of conformance for materials, shall be submitted to the Government for approval. 40、test.- Examination and tests related to Section 3 herein shall be performed on a single defect (individual characteristics) basis in accordance with MIL-STD-105 and the sampling plans specified in Tables I, LI and III herein. tests for packaging, packing and marking shall be in accordance with MTL-P
41、-14232 and Section 5 herein. defects in Tables I, II and III shall constitute the minimum inspection to be performed by the supplier after first article approval and prior to Government acceptance or rejection by item or lot.
