9、uch as to pro- duce bars and tubes meeting all requirements of this specification. 3.2 Chemical composition. Unless a particular. steel com- position is specified, the steel furnished under this specifi- cation shall be either FS 4140 or FS 8640 conforming to-the chem- ical requirements of specifica
10、tion QQ-S-624 for bars and Speci- fication KIL-S-11487 for tubes. When a particular steel listed in Specification QQ-S-624, Qs-633, MIL-S-11486 or MIL-S-11487 is specified, the bars or tubes shall conform to the chemical re- quirements for the specified steel in the applicable specifi- cat ion. f .

The permissible amount of con- tamination in the steel s
16、nall be an inclusion content of not more than the limits shown in Table II when examined as described in 4.8. Table II. Unless otherwise specified, dimensions shall not vary from the ordered dimensions by more than the appl
