SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers the parts and the loading, assembling and packing of three signals of different colors, designated as Signal,

3、 Green Star Cluster, M125A1: Signal Red Star Cluster, M158; and Signal, White Star Cluster, M159, 2. Materials and parts shall be in accordance with 3.2 Assembly, The aseembly shall comply with all requirements applicable drawings and specifications.

The illuminant assembly shall not eject at an altitude of lees than one hundred loo) feet from the ground within a horizontal distance of two hundred and fifty (250) feet of-the launcher, or at an altitude of lesa than fifty (50) feet from the ground at a horizontal distance in exce

All illuminant charges shall b urn in minim

12、um (min.) of 6.5 seconds, except that the extinction interval between the third star and the fifth star shall not exceed 4 seconds. 3.4.3 Hot temperature - (18 to 24OC or 65 to 75OU. The assembly shall function and comply with the requirement of 3.4.1 when tested as specified in 4.5.2.1. 3._4.4 Ambi

13、ent temperature (70 plus or minus 5 degrees F). The signal assemblies shall function and comply with the following when tested as specified in 4.5.2.2: a. The requirements of 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 b. The illuminant assembly shall not eject at an angle OE more than 30 degrees from the vertical, or emit the

14、 first trace of light at an altitude of less than 500 feet. c. The average altitude for all illuminant assemblies which function above 500 feet shall be not less than 725 feet. c. The average angle from the vertical for all illuminant assemblies which function within the maximum (max.) angle from th

15、e vertical (30 degrees) shall be not mote than 12 degrees, 3.3.5 Cold temperature - (-57 to -51OC or -70 to -60F). All parts shall be fabricated and loaded in a thorough, _7p workman1 ke manner. They shall be free of burrs, sharp edges, cracks, dirt, tuet and Other foreign matter. The cleani

19、ng method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts becontaminated by the cleaning agent. Exterior surface coatings shall be continuous except for a few light scratches not exposing base material. All required markings shall be neat and sharply defined. . 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVI

20、SIONS 4,l Responsibility for inspection and standard quality - anuranceproviaons. Unleae otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this detail specification. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The following types of inspect

21、ion shall b e conducted on this item: a. Fipst Article .Inspection. b. Quality Conformance Inspection. 4.3 First article inspection. 4.3.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit a first article sample as designated by the Contracting Officer for evaluation in accordance with provisions of 4.3,2. Th

22、e first article sample shall consist of items in sample quantities as ,indicated in Table 1. 4.3.2 Inspections to be performed.
