REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Radioactive material.- Prospective bidders should be cognizant of th

13、e need for a Nuclear Regulatory Commission License governing the pro- curement, possession, handling and shipping of radioactive material. 3.2 Regulations pertaining to radioactive devices,- Marking, identi- fication, handling and shipping of radioactive devices shall be in accord- ance with MIL-STD

14、-1458. 3.3 Fabrication.- The sightunit shall be manufactured in accordance with Drawing FU741726 and drawings pertaining thereto. 3.3.1 Telescope,- The telescope shall be fabricated in accordance with Drawing FU733780 and drawings pertaining thereto, and shall meet the requirements of MIL-T-48574. 3

15、.3.2 Mount .- with Drawing F11741796 and drawings pertaining thereto, and shall meet the requirements of MIL-M-48575. 21、nce provis- ions of this specification. Definitions of inspection terms shall be as listed in MIL-STD-109. 4.2 First article (initial production) approval.- The requirement for first arficle approval and the responsibility (Government or contract- or) for first article testing shall be as specified

22、in the contract. The sample for first article approval tests shall consist of three sightunits plus three each of all items covered by SQAP. The sample shall be manu- factured in the same manner, using the same materials, equipment, processes, and procedures as used in regular production. All parts

23、and materials, including packaging and packing, shall be obtained from the same source of supply as used in regular production. 4.2.1 Government testing.- When the Goverment is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the contractor, prior to sub- mitting the sample to the Government

24、, shall inspect the sample to insure that it conforms to all the requirements of the contract and submit a record of this inspection with the sample, including certificates of con- formance for materials. 4.2.2 Contractor testin%.- When the contractor is responsible for conducting first article appr

25、oval tests, the sample shall be inspected by the contractor for all the requirements of the contract. a record of this inspection, including certificates of conformance for materials, shall be submitted to the Government for approval. ment resewes the right to witness the contractors inspection. 35、ed for by the contract, the contractor shall supply and maintain inspection equipment in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-1-45607. 4.5.1 Government furnished inspection equipment.- Where the contract Provides for Government furnished test equipment, supply and maintenance of test e

37、.2.1 Government design.- Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract, all inspection equipment specified by drawing number in specifica- tion or SQAP forming a part of the contract shall be supplied by the con- tractor in accordance with technical data listed in the technical data package (TDP) , 4

38、.5.2.2 Contractor design.- The contractor shall design and supply inspection equipment compatible with the “Test Methods and Procedures“ specified in 4.6 of this specification and with ,the component inspection procedures specified in “Examination“ and “Test Facilities“ requirements of MIL-F-13926.

39、Since tolerance of test equipment is normally considered to be within 10% of the product tolerance for which it is intended, this inherent error in the test equipment design must be considered as part of the prescribed product tolerance limit. Thus, concept, construction, ma- terials, dimensions and

40、 tolerances used in the design of test equipment will reliably indicate acceptability of a product which does not exceed 90% of the prescribed tolerance limit, and permit positive rejection when non-conforming, Construction shall be such as to facilitate routine cali- bration of test equipment. 4.5.

41、2.3 Inspection equipment design requirements, 4.5.2.3.1 Telescope clamping mechanism.- The Adapter, Final Inspec- tion, Azimuth F11750709 together with a suitable stand shall be utilized in performing the telescope clamping mechanism test, The stand shall have the necessary stability for positioning

42、 the adapter so that it maintains the mounting dovetail surface and dovetail axis of the mount in a vertical plane within plus or minus one degree, 4.5.2.3.2 Torque requirements.- The torque wrench type tester for The accuracy of the torque wrench type tester shall testing the telescope clamping mec

Install the telescope in the clamping mechanism of the mount and lock the clamp by applying a force of 5 to 7 inch-pounds to the locking lever. By means of the elevation and azimuth k

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging, packing and marking.- Packaging, packing and marking shall be in accordance with Packaging Data Sheet 11741726.
