REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction sample.- Unless otherwise specified (see 6.21, before production is commenced, six finished samples of each color ta
9、g (being pro- cured) covered by this specification, shall be submitted or made available to the contracting officer or his authorized representative for approval in accordance with 4.2. The approval of the preproduction sample authorizes the commencement of production, but does not relieve the suppl
10、ier of recponsibil- ity for compliance with all applicable provisions of this specification. 18、ow not more than a slight change in color when tested as specified in table II, A slight color change is defined as one which is perceptible with difficulty. 3.4.3 Dimensional !stabiiity.- The tag stock shall show not more than a 5 percent dimensional change when tested as specified in table II. 3.5

20、lighter 3.6 Finish.- The tags shall have a matte finish on both sides when tes-ed as specificed in 4.4.3. 3.7 Workmanship.- The finished tags shall be clean, uniform in color and shall conform to the quality of product established by this specification. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the
21、 specified acceptable quality levels. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Inspection responsibility.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. the supplier may utilize his own fac
22、ilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to pre- scribed requirements. Except as otherwise specified, The Government reserves the r
23、ight to perform 4.2 Preproduction inspection.- When required, inspection and testing of the preproduction samples shall be made for all provisions of this specifi- cation applicable to end product examination and test. 4.3 Sampling for inspection.- Sampling for inspection shall be performed in accor

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging.- Packaging shall be level A or C as specified (see 6.2). * 5.1.1 Level A.- Fifty tags of one color only, shall be tied, banded or wired together. One
46、thousand tags of one color only, bundled as specified, shall be packaged in a snug-fitting fiberboard box conforming to style RSC, type CF, class domestic, variety SW, minimum grade 125 of PPP-B-636; folding paperboard box conforming to variety 1, style III, type By class a of PPP-B-566; or setup pa
47、perboard box conforming to type I, variety 1, class A, style 4 of PPP-B-676. Box closure shall be securedwith 2 inch minimum width gummed paper tape conforming to class 1 of W-T-111, The full tele- scope style pQerboard boxes shall have the tape applied at the center of the length opening and extend
48、 along the bottom and up each side at least 2 inches (see 6.3). 5.1.2 Level C.- Tags shall be packaged to afford adequate protection against damage during shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity. 49、acking.- Packing shall be level A, B or C as specified (see 6.2). * 5.2.1 Level A.- Eight thousand tags of one color only, packaged as specified in 5.1, shall be packed in a snug-fitting fiberboard shipping con- tainer conforming to style RSC, V3c or V3s of PPP-B-636. Alternatively, shipping containers shall conform to style RSC, V15 of MIL-B-43291. container shall be waterproofed in accordance with the Appendix of PPP-B-636.
