SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers two types of rectangular, hip- roofed, po

2、le supported, off-center ridge, general purpose tents. has the following dimensions, when erected with poles, designed for use with them: Length (at eave line) 52 feet; width (at eave line) 18 feet; ridge height 12 feet, 3 inches; sidewall height 5 feet, 8 inches and door height 6 feet, 2 inches. Th

3、e tents are provided with windaws (including window screens), roll up typ sidewalls and a sliding double door entrance at each end. % The tent The tents come with a liner, pins and poles, and a tent cover. 1.2 Classification. The tents shall be of the following types as specified (see 6.2). Type I -

Polyethylene film shall conform to the require- ments for 0.006 inch thick, type I, class 1, grade A, B, or C, finish 1 of L-P-378 except that the thickness shall be 0.020 plus or minus 0.004 inch and the requirements for water-vapor permeability, impact resistance, slip, ink adhesion, and heat

The tent liner with cover shall conform to MIL-I-14056. 3.3.12 Lines, tent. The tent lines shall conform to MIL-L-1709. Types shall be as follaws: Tvpe line type Used for I VI

The tent-lay rope for stiffeners shall conform to manila or sisal, size 1 inch in circumference, three strand, furnished with a mildew resistant treatment c

34、onforming to A-A-50057. 3.3.14 Hooks, tent. The tent hooks shall conform to MIL-H-1608. Types shall be as follows: Tent hook tvpe Eve shape I, size 1-1/2 inches III IV V - Triangle - Square - Trapezoid - Diamond 3.3.15 Fasteners, slide, interlockinq. The slide fasteners shall confonn to tp III, styl

35、e I, size H, stirrup pulunients unless otherwise excluded, mnded, modified, or qualified in this specification or applicable purchase document. 4.4.1.1 Component testinq. In addition to the quality assurance provi- sions of the subsidiary docluments, tests shall be performed on components listed bel

36、ow for the characteristics sham. A lot shall consist of all wood toggles, and all wire rope with wire rope splicing sleeves (if applicable) offered for inspection at one time. The acceptable quality level (AQL), expressed in tem of defects per hundred units, shall be 6.5 for component c. only. The p
