23、ti-ply cord with fittings, flatbed cloth (optional), repair items, hose, tiedown straps and hardware, carrying sling, duffel bag, and accessories (see figure 5). 3.2 First article. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.3) in accordance w
24、ith 4.3. 3.3 Medical requirements. 3.3.1 Potability. The liner and all surfaces that contact drinking water shall conform to the Code of Federal Regulations, Food and Drugs, title 21, chapter 1, part 177.2600 for contact with food (the compounds listed in title 21, chapter 1, part 177.1020, 177.1030
25、, 177.1050 or 177.1480 shall not be acceptable materials) or shall be either tested or listed as approved for use with potable water by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), Underwriters Laboratory, or Safe Water Additives Institute in accordance with NSF Standard 61. 3.3.2 Taste and odor. Materials shall be as specified herein. Materials not specified shall be selected by the contractor
28、 and shall be subject to all provisions of this specification. 3.4.1 Material deterioration prevention and control, The tanks shall be fabricated from compatible materials, inherently corrosion and deterioration resistant or treated to provide protection against the various forms of corrosion and de
29、terioration that may be encountered in any of the applicable storage and operating environments to which the tank may be exposed. 3.4.2 Identification of materials and finishes. The contractor shall identify the specific material, material finish or treatment for use with components and subcomponent
30、s, and shall make information available, upon request, to the contracting officer or designated representative, 3.4.3 Recovered materials. For the purpose of this requirement, recovered materials are those materials which have been collected from solid waste and reprocessed to become a Cource of raw
31、 materials, as distinguished from virgin raw materials. The components, pieces and parts incorporated in the tank may be newly fabricated from recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, provided the tank produced meets all other requirements of this specification. Used, rebuilt or remanu
32、factured components, pieces and parts shall not be incorporated in the tanks. 3.4.4 Inner liner rubber ComDound. The liner rubber compound shall be a solid, noncellular rubber compound conforming to 3.3, capable of withstanding storage at ambient temperatures from +160 OF to -25 OF. 3.4.5 Outer cove
33、r rubber. compound. The outer cover rubber compound shall conform to ASTM D 2000, composition M3BC610A14C12F17G21. 3.4.6 Allovs of tank fittings. Alloy and temper designations of wrought aluminum alloys and aluminum alloys in the form of castings shall be in accordance with ANSI H 35.1. UNS A14130,
