REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First Article. - When specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor shall furnish first article units in accordance with 4.3. 3.2 Construction. - The Transmitter Group, Simulated Radiac OT-51/P shal I be constructed in accor

7、dance with the requirements of this specification and drawing DLSM-B-748187. 3.3 Parts, Materials and Processes. - In addition to any requirements of this specification covering parts, materials and processes, such items shall conform to MIL-P-11268, including the selection requirements therein . 3.

8、4 Marking. - 3.4.1 General. - Marking shall conform to MIL-M-1323 3.4.2 Serial Numbers. - Each equipment shall bear a ser ance with the requirements of MIL-M-13231. . (See 4.4) al number in accord- 3.5 Interchangeability. - Like units, assemblies, subassemblies and replaceable parts shall conform to

9、 requirement 7 of MIL-STD-454. (See 4.6) 3.6 Performance Characteristics. - 3.6.1 Transmitter, Simulated Radiac T-l254/T. - 3.6.1.1 Operating Frequency and Stability. - The operating frequency shall be within 138 to 144 MHz and shall be crystal controlled. At variations of input voltage and power ou

The implementation of inspections

14、5 and 6 shall be expedited to satisfy contract delivery requirements . 3, The numbers in the unit columns in the table, covered by Sand 6 specify the order of inspections for the indicated unit . 4.4 Inspections covered by subsidiary documents.- The following shall be inspected under the applicable

15、subsidiary documents as part of the inspection required by this specification, and the inspection requirement specified in the contract or purchase order Where required 4.5 Quality conformance inspection of equipment before preparation for delivery,- The contractor shall perform the inspections spec

16、ified in 4.4, 4.9.2, and 4,5,l)hrough 4.5.4. This does not relieve the contractor of his responsibility for performing any additional inspection which is necessary to control the quality of the product and to assure compliance with all specification requirements. 4.5.1 Group A inspection.- Each unit

17、 on contract or purchase order shall be inspected for conformance to the inspections specified in Table tll Discrete lots shall be formed from units that passed this inspection. Factors of lot composition not defined herein, or in the contrabt or purchase order, shall be in accordance with MIL*STD-l

18、05. Each lot shall be subject to sampling inspection, utilizing the pro- cedures of MIL-STD-105, using the general inspection levels, and AQLs indicated 4.5.1.10rder of inspection within Group A. - Group A inspection shall be performed in the order listed in Table 111. (e) Size and form of special threads. 4.7 Quality conformance inspection of preparation for delivery. - Preparation for delivery shall be inspected in accordance with MILI-P-116 to determine confor- mance to the requirements of sect

22、rom IHS-,-,-MI L-T-55401 (EL) 4.8.2 Weight (case). - Using a calibrated scale when fully loaded, the case assembly shall meet the requirement of 3.6.3 . i . 4.9 Performance characteristics . - 4.9.1 Transmitter, Simulated Radiac T-l254/T. - 4.9.1.1 Operating Frequency and Stability. - Using the appr

23、opriate crystals to obtain a frequency of 141MHz and with input voltage variations of 22 VDC f 5%, 24 VDC f 5% and 28 VDC f 5%, the output frequency shall meet the requirements of 3.6.1.1 . The test will be conducted with the variable power control fully CW in both the high and low range . (See 3.6.

24、1 . 1) 4.9.1.2 Operating frequency Range. - Utilizing the methods und criteria of 4.9.1.1, the transmitter will be tested at 138 MHz and 144 MHz. (See 3.6.1 -1) 4.9.1,3 Power Output and Stability. - With the variable power control fully clockwise and function switch set at Low and High positions, th

25、e transmitter shall meet the requirements of 3.6.1.2 with a dummy load of 50 ohms. 4.9.1.4 Signal Identification. - Completely fill rows 1, 2, 5 and 6 with shorting pins. Turn power on. Count the number of deflections on the transmitter power meter, A total of 48 deflections should be counted before

26、 the keying cycle stops. The keying cycle should then repeat after 15 f 3 minutes. Remove the pins, place them in rows 3, 4, 7 and 8 and repeat the test . (See 3.6.1.3) 4.9.2 Burn-in. - Each transmitter submitted for acceptance shall be subjected to burn-in in accordance with drawing CM-A-678028. (S

27、ee 3.8) 4.9.3 Antenna Beamwidth. - The beamwidth of the antenna shall be determined by a field strength meter in an actual field application. The beamwidth in degrees shall be determined as measured 3 dB down from maximum reading obtained. The beamwidth shall meet the requirements of 3.6.2.1 . 4.10

28、Environmental, - The transmitter T-l254/T shall be tested in accordance with the following conditions. 4.10.1 Altitude (elevation) Test. - The transmitter shall be tested in accordance with Method Sob, Procedure 1, of MIL-STD-810. meet full ipecification performance for the measurements specified in

29、 3 6. During test measure the maximum power output and perform the test of 4.9.1.4, filling only rows 1, 2, 5 and 6 with shorting pins. 31、ersion) .Test. - 4.10.2.1 Immersion, transmitter. - The transmitter shall be tested in accord- ande with Method 522, Procedure 1 of MIL-STD-810. (See 3.7.7.1) 4.10.2.2 Immersion, case. -The case shall be tested in accordance with Method 512, Procedure 1 f MIL-STD-810. (See 3.7.7.2) 4.10.3 Humidity (

32、moisture-resistance) Test. - The transmitter shall be tested in accordance with Method 507, Procedure II, of MIL-STD-810. Prior to testing the transmitter shal I meet ful I specification performance for the measurements specified in 3.6. During the periods shown on Figure 507-2 of MIL-STD-810, measu

33、re the maximum power output and perform the test of 4.9.1.4 filling only rows 1, 2, 5 and 6 with short- ing pins. All tests shall be conducted at a supply voltage of 24 VDC f 5%. The power output shall be preset at 20 watts * 10%. Following completion of the test, perform the tests of 4.9.1 except f

34、br 4.9.1.2. (See 3.7.3) . 4,10.4 Dust Test. - The transmitter shall be tested in accordance with Method 510, Procedure 1 of MIL-STD-810. Following completion of the test, perform the tests of 4.9.1 except for 4.9.1.2. (See 3.7.4.) 4.10.5 Temperature Tests. - 4.10.5.1 Low Temperature Procedure. - The

35、 following test shall be performed on the transmitter in accordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 502, Procedure 1. Perform the tests of 4.9.1.3 as pre-environmental data. PI ace the transmitter in the temperature chamber and reduce the temperature to -60 f 2.5% F. The test wi I I start when the ambient

36、temperature has stabilized. Hold the temperature for a period of 8 hours. At the end of 8 hours increase the ambient temperature to O f 2.5OF. When the temperature of the transmitter has stabilized, operate the transmitter for six hours. During this time perform the tests of 4.9.1.3. Return the tran

37、smitter to room ambient temperature. Perform the tests of 4.9.1.3 as post environmental data. The readings at the low temperature shall not vary more than f 20% from those readings at room temperature and corresponding input voltages. (See.3.7.1 .i) 4.10.5.2 High Temperature Procedure. - an the-tran

38、smitter in accordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 501, Procedure 1. Perform the tests of 4.9.1.3 as pre-environmental data. Place the transmitter into the temperature chamber and increase the ambient temperature to 160 f 2.5OF. The test will start when the ambient temperature has stabilized. Hold the t

39、emperature for a period of 8 hours minimum. At the end of 8 hours reduce the ambient temperature to 125 f 2.5OF. When the tempera- ture of the transmitter has stabilized, operate the transmitter for six hours. During this time perform the tests-of 4.9.1.3. Return the transmitter to room ambient temp

40、erature. Perform the tests of 4i9.1 .3 as post environment data. (See 3.7.1.2) 4.10.6 Vibration. - The case, fully loaded, shall be vibrated in accord- ance with MIL-STD-810, Method 514. 1, Procedure X, Curve AW and AY of Figu

42、re 514.1 7. Pre and post testing shall be performed on the transmitter in accordance with 4.9.1 except 4.9.1.2. (See 3.7.6) 4.10.7 Salt fog test. - The transmitter (including accessories) in its normal operating position shall be tested in accordance with Method 509, Procedure 1, of MIL-STD-810, Pre

43、 and post test shall be performed in accordance with 4.9.1.1 . (See 3.7.8) 4.10.8 Fungus test. - The transmitter (including accessories) shall be tested in accordance with Method 508, Procedure 1, of MIL-STD-810. Spraying shall include parts and materials on and under the chassis, and the interior o

44、f the equipment case. The tranmitter shall remain in an open condition during the test. Operation is not required. (See 3.7.9) 4.10.9 EM1 . The transmitter shall be tested in accordance with - . MIL-STD-462 and meet the requirements of 3.7.2. 4.1 1 Visual and mechanical inspection. - Equipment shall

45、 be examined for the defects listed in MIL-STD-252. 5. I shall be dried in accordance with the arwlicable procedure of MIL-P-116. I 5.1.1.4 Unit Dacka

47、ninn. - Unit Mickaaina shall be in accordance with the 5.1.1.4.1 Technical literature. - Each technical literature shall be packaged method IC-l. I type I. Secure the-wrap wi PPP-B-621 , style 4, class 2, or PPP-8-585, style 2 or 3, class 3. Fiberboard boxes being placed directly in the shipping con

48、tainers shall be waterproofed with tape conforming to PPP-T-76, in accordance with the taping requirements of the appendix of the box specification . Place the technical literature, packaged as specified in 5.1 1.4.1 , on top of the contents, directly under the lid of the box. Skids, 3x4 inch, laid

49、flat, shall be applied in accordance with the requirements of the container specification, or if not specified in the specification in a manner which will adequately support the item and facilitate the use of handling equipment. Closure and strapping shall be in accordance with the applicable container specification or appendix thereto except that the metal strapping shall conform to QQ-S-781,
