In the event of a conflict between the text of this
14、 specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specifica- tion shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained . 3 0 REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials and components. 3.1.1 Materia
15、ls. All materials cited on Drawing 68-6-2 or 48-6-3 shall con- form to the specifications listed thereon, or to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings. 3.1.2 Components. All components of the wrenches shall conform to the specifications and drawings listed on Drawing 68-6-2 and 58-6-
16、3. 3.2 Assembly. 3.2.1 Mi. wrench. The wrench shall be assembled in accordance with Drawing 68-6-2. 3.2.2 M2 wrench. The wrench shall be assembled in accordance with Drawing 68-6-3 . . The wrenches shall be free from foreign matter (oil, damage such as cracks or deformation which could affect their
17、intended use. 4. QUALITY ASSUWCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may u
18、se his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements speci- fied herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to a
19、ssure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements . Except as otherwise specified 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection syste
20、m or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all require- ments of the contract. Sampling in quality confor

The contractor shall provide objective evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.2 Quality conformance inspectio
23、n. 4.2.1 Lotting. A lot shall consist of the wrenches produced by one manu- facturer, at one plant, from the sane materials and under essentially the same manufacturing conditions . 4.2.2 Sampling for examination. Sampling shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.2.3 Inspecti-on procedur
24、e. 4.2.3.1 For examination. The sample wrenches shall be examined in accor- dance with the classification of defects (4.2.3.2) and MIL-STD-105. 4.2.3.2 Classification of defects. The wrenches shall be cleaned in accordance with process C-1 of MIL-P-116 and dried by any procedure listed therein, as applicable. 4 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without lic

The wrenches, cleaned in accordance with 5.1, shall be unit packed, one per box, in fiberboard boxes conforming to style optional, grade W5c and VC, class weather-resistant of PPP-B-636. The han
28、dle shall be dis- assembled from the hub, the threaded areas coated with type P-9 preservative in accordance with MIL-P-116 and, with the set screw screwed into the hub section reasonably tight, the two sections shall be placed into the box, separated and restricted from free moveinent by cushioning
29、 or blocking with appropriate weather-resistant material such as fiberboard. The boxes shall be closed and waterproofed by sealing the seams and joints with tape in accordance with the appendix to PPP-B-636. 5.2.2 Level B. Unit packing shall be in accordance with 5.2.l except the box and cushioning
30、material may be domestic class and waterproofing is not required . 5.2.3 Commercial unit packing. Commercial unit packing shall be in accordance with ASTM D 3951. 5.3 Packing. 5.3.1 Level A. The wrenches, unit packed in accordance with 5.Z.l, shall be packed 10 per box in a wood box conforming to ei
31、ther style 4, class 2 of PPP-B- 621, grade A requirements, or PPP-B-601, overseas type, grade A requirements. The boxes shall fit the contents snugly. Fiberboard filler pads of weather- resistant material conforming to PPP-F-320 shall be utilized as necessary to restrict free movement of the unit pa
32、cks. The boxes shall be closed and strapped in accordanee with the appendix to the respective box specification. Strapping shall conform to finish B of QQ-S-781. 5.3.2 Level B. The wrenches, unit packed as specified, shall be packed 10 per box, in wood boxes conforming to either style 4, class 1 of
33、PPP-B-621 or domestic type PPP-B-601. Domestic class fiberboard filler pads shall be utilized as necessary, to restrict free movement of the unit packs. The boxes shall be closed and strapped in accor- dance with the appendix to the respective specification. The boxes shall fit the contents snugly.
34、5.3.3 Commercial packing. Commercial packing shall be in accordance with ASTM D 3951. 5.4 . Marking. 5.4.1 Marking, level A and B. In addition to any special marking specified in the contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. 5.4.2 Marking, commercial. Commercial marking sha
