REQUIREMENTS 3,l Material .-Materials shall be in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications. Inert Parts Assembl
8、ies .-The Inert Parts Assembiies shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing (dwg.) 9226302 or 9230608, whichever applies, and with all requirements speci.fied in applicable specifications. 3.2 3.3 Mounting Insert Pin.-The Mounting Insert Pin shall be present in each mounting insert. 3.4
9、 Leakage Test of Inert Parts.-The Inert Parts Assembly (dwg. 9226302 or dwg. 9230608, whichever applies) and the Safety and Arming Housing Assembly (dwg. 9226308) shall withstand an internal air pressure test of 2.0 pounds per square inch, minimum, for 60 seconds, minimum, with no evidence of leakag
10、e. 2 r Licensed by Information Handling ServicesMIL-W-14960B (MU) 3.5 Workmanship 3.5.1 Molded Parts.-The Molded Parts shall be free of Small chips at the end of the porosity, warpage in excess of drawing dimensions, checks, cracks, chipped edges, blisters, scratches, and other defects which would a
11、ffect their serviceability. machined cavities will be disregarded. 3.5.2 Foreign Matter.-All parts shall be free of chips, dirt, grease, excess flash, rust, silicone products and other foreign material. The cleaning method shall not be injurious to any of the parts nor shall the parts be contaminate
12、d by the cleaning agent. Surface coatings shall be continuous except for a few slight scratches not exposing base material. 3.5.3 defined. Marking.-All marking shall be neat and sharply 3.6 First Article Inspection.-This specification makes provisions for First Article Inspection. Requirements for t
13、he submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as spectfied in the contract. 3.7 Inserts.-The liner inserts (dwg. 9226311) in the safety and arming housing assembly shall be capable of accepting mating screws for a minhum depth of -36 inches. 3.8 Fragment Weight.-A quantity of 15,
14、000 fragments (dwg. 9226307) shall weigh 64.3 pounds minus 1 pound, plus 2 pounds,. 3.9 Component and Assembly Lot Information.-Data cards pre- pared for each lot shall include specific component and assembly lot information defined in 6.1.b. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for In

17、quirements. a Licensed by Information Handling Services4.1.1 Submission of Product.-At the time each completed lot of items deliverable under the contract is submitted to the Government for acceptance, the contractor shall supply the following information accompanied by a certificate which attests t
18、hat the information provided is correct and applicable to the product being submitted: a. A stakement that the lot complies with all of the quality assurance provisions specified in this specification. b. Drawing and specification number and date, together with identification and date of changes the
19、reto, C. A statement that all material purchased by the contractor meets the requirements, when such material is controlled by Government or comercial specifications referenced in any of the contractual documents, and that certificates of conformanse are on file and available for review. The certifi
20、cate shall be signed by a responkibfe agent of the certifying organization, The initial certificate submitted shall be substantiated by evidence of the agents authority to bind his principal. Substantiation of the agents authority will not be required by subsequent certificates unless, during the co
21、urse of the contract, this authority is vested in another agent of the certifying organization . d. Number of items in the lot. e. Date submitted. 4.2 First Article Inspection 4.2.1 Submission.-The contractor shall submit a first article sample as designated by the contracting officer for evaluation
22、 in accordance with the provisions of 4.2.2. The first article sample shall consist of two assemblies, one dual packing crate, and four complete sets of parts (i.e., four each of every component anil every subassembly, except fragments, 20 of which shall be subnitted) which have been produced by the
23、 contractor or furnished by a sup- plier and which have been manufactured using the same production processes, procedures and equipment which will be used in fulfilling the contract. All parts and materials, including packaging arid packing, shall be obtained from the same source of supply as will b
24、e used in regular production. Prior to submission, the contractor shall inspect the sample to the degree necessary to assure th5.t it conforms to the requirements of the contract and submit a reccrd of this inspection with the sample, including statements of findings/ certificates of conformance for
25、 materials (see 4.1.l.c). A sample containing known defects will not be submitted unless specifically authorized by the contracting officer, A first article sample, or portion thereof, as directed by the contracting officer, shall also be submitted whenever there is a lapse in production for a perio
26、d in excess of 90 days or whenever a change occurs in manufacturing process, material used, drawing or specification such as to signifi- cantly affect product uniformity as determined by the Government. 4 Licensed by Information Handling Services4.2.2 Inspections to be Performed.-Asscilies and compo
27、- nents will be subjected by the Government to any or all of the examinations or tests specified in 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 of this specification and any or all requirements of the applicable drawings. comply with any of the applicable requirenents, the first article sample shall be rejected. 28、 reserves the right to terminate its inspection upon any failure of an assembly or component to comply with any of the stated requirements. 4.2.3 Rejection:-If any assembly or component fails to- 4.3 Inspection Provisions 4.3.1 Lot Formation.-The term “inspection lot“ as used in- this specification
29、is defined as an essentially homogeneous collection of units of product from which a representative sanple is drawn and inspected to determine conformance with applicable requirements. The sample selected shall represent only that quantity of units from which the sample was drawn and shall not be co
30、nstrued to represent any prior or subsequent quantities pre- sented for inspection. Homogeneity shall be considered to exist provided the inspection lot has been produced by one manufacturer, in one unchanged process, in accordance with the same drawing, same drawing revision , same specification an
31、d same specificatj.on revision and complies with the provisions for submission of pro- duct as specified in MIL-STD-105. Changes to the process, specification, or drawing not affecting safety, performance iriter- changeability, or storage, as determined by the Government, shall not be deemed to alte
32、r the homogeneity of an inspection lot. All material submitted for inspection in accordance with this specifi- cation shall comply with the homogeneity criteria specified herein regardless of the type of sampling procedura which is being applied to determine conformance with requirements. as require

Lot numbering, 4.3.2 Examination.-The examinations listed in the following subparagraphs shall be performed on inspection lots (see 4.3.1.) of the components or assemblies designated in the applicable paragraph headings. Inspection for critical defects (a
34、nd major defects, when so specified) shall be 100 percent. Sampling plans for major and minor defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105 except that continuous sampling plans in accordance with MIL-STD-1235 may be used if approved by the Government. Instead of applying the AQLs designated herei
