10、te containment applications include linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or polypropylene (PP). These materials are produced with both smooth and textured surfaces. The need for a textured versus a non textured material will be based on

11、 cover stability analyses. 12、agraph when lump sum bidding is used.*Measurement shall be made of the total surface area in square meters feet covered by geomembrane. Final quantities will be based on as-built conditions. Allowance will be made for geomembrane in anchor and drainage trenches; however, no allowance will be made fo

13、r waste, overlap, repairs, or materials used for the convenience of the Contractor. The submittal from the QC laboratory shall include verification that the laboratory is accredited via the Geosynthetic Accreditation Institutes Laboratory Accreditation Program (GAI-LAP) for the tests the QC laboratory will be required to perform. These drawings shall include panel numbers, seam numbers, location of repairs, destructive seam samples, and penetrations. Submittals should be kept to the minimum required for adequate quality control.A “G” following a submittal item indicates that the submittal requires Government approval. Some submittals are already mark

34、ed with a “G”. Only delete an existing “G” if the submittal item is not complex and can be reviewed through the Contractors Quality Control system. Only add a “G” if the submittal is sufficiently important or complex in context of the project.For submittals requiring Government approval on Army proj

35、ects, a code of up to three characters within the submittal tags may be used following the “G“ designation to indicate the approving authority. Codes for Army projects using the Resident Management System (RMS) are: “AE“ for Architect-Engineer; “DO“ for District Office (Engineering Division or other

36、 organization in the District Office); “AO“ for Area Office; “RO“ for Resident Office; and “PO“ for Project Office. Codes following the “G“ typically are not used for Navy, Air Force, and NASA projects.Choose the first bracketed item for Navy, Air Force and NASA projects, or choose the second bracke

37、ted item for Army projects.*Government approval is required for submittals with a “G“ designation; submittals not having a “G“ designation are for Contractor Quality Control approval. information only. 41、 ManufacturerManufacturer shall have produced the proposed geomembrane sheets for at least 5 completed projects having a total minimum area of 930,000 _ square meters 10 _ million square feet.1.5.2 FabricatorThe fabricator is responsible for seaming geomembrane sheets into panels. Fabricator shall h

42、ave fabricated the proposed geomembrane panels for at least 5 completed projects having a total minimum area of 186,000 _ square meters 2 _ million square feet.1.5.3 InstallerThe installer is responsible for field handling, deploying, seaming, anchoring, and field Quality Control (QC) testing of the

43、 geomembrane. The installer shall have installed the proposed geomembrane material for at least 5 completed projects having a total minimum area of 186,000 _ square meters 2 _ million square feet. At least one seamer shall have experience seaming a minimum of 46,500 _ square meters 500,000 _ square

44、feet of the proposed geomembrane using the same type of seaming equipment and geomembrane thickness specified for this project.1.5.4 QC Inspector*NOTE: A separate third party quality assurance (QA) contract should be considered based on the qualifications of the Government QA personnel, the size and importance of the project, and impac
