18、e 4 prEN 271 9: 2001 3 Defini tionc For the purpose of this standard the definitions in IS0 8402 and following apply. 3.1 Production batch A production batch is the number of sheets produced from one batch of raw material in one machine under the same conditions in continuous production. 3.2 Qualifi
19、cation testing A test or a series of tests to demonstrate that the product sample submitted for qualification satisfies the requirements specified in the standard. 3.3 Acceptance testing Testing to demonstrate that the quality characteristics of a product are in conformity with the quality character
20、istics of the qualified type. 4 Requ i remen ts 4.1 Materials - ultra violet stabilised high optical quality including cockpit transparency constructions and exterior glazings e.g. cabin windows, external light covers; - polycarbonate sheet material which is self extinguishing and has low smoke emis
21、sion, for general use within the interior of the aircraft and which may be filled, unfilled or reinforced; - polycarbonate sheet material utilising particulate, short strand and continuous fibre reinforcement, for use in external and internal structural applications. The material requirements are sp
22、ecified in the relevant EN material standards. The material from which the semi-finished product is produced shall consist basically of a thermoplastic polyester of carbonic acid and dihydroxy-compounds to IS0 7391 -I. 4.2 Dimensions In accordance with EN 3779. 4.3 Quality The semi-finished product
23、shall be of a uniform quality. In certain standards the use of clean recycled traceable polycarbonate material is permissible to the level (percentage) given in the particular material standard. 4.4 Surface structure or texture The surface structure and the texture shall be agreed between the custom
24、er and the supplier. 4.5 Colour Sheets may be supplied either colourless or coloured. The colour shall be agreed between the customer and the supplier. 26、tical distortion not more than gradient I : 5. 4.7 Defects Defects unless covered by 4.8 shall be agreed between the customer and the supplier. 4.7.1 Optical defects Requirements with regards to freedom from optical defects are specified particularly for transparent, smooth surface types. Sheets sha
27、ll be clear when viewed through the surface. A slightly yellow or blue tint is acceptable. Sheets shall have a shiny surface and be free from larger scratches and scrapes. For testing to EN 2155-6, the defects listed in 4.8 are permissible, taking into account the number and spatial distribution spe
28、cified in 4.8.1 to 4.8.4. 4.7.2 Physical defects 4.7.2.1 Major defects - Bubbles, foreign matter from 0,8 mm2 to I2 mm2. - Surface faults 0,8 mm2 to I 13 mm2. 4.7.2.2 Minor defects - Hairs, fibres from 0,5 mm and I5 mm in length. - Bubbles, foreign matter from 0,4 mm2 to I 0,8 mm2 - Surface faults f
29、rom 0,4 mm2 to 50.8 mm2. 4.8 Defects criteria 4.8.1 Criteria for Class 1 Sheets to Class 1 shall have no defects other than those specified in 4.7 and no major defects as in 4.7.2.1. AISO there shall be not more than 3 minor defects as in 4.7.2.2 within an area with a radius of 150 mm. 4.8.2 . Crite
30、ria for Class 2 Sheets to Class 2 shall have no defects other than those specified in 4.7 and no major defects as in 4.7.2.1. AISO there shall be not more than 3 minor defects as in 4.7.2.2 within an area with a radius of 150 mm. Page 6 prEN 2719: 2001 4.8.3 Criteria for Class 3 There shall be no de
31、fects larger than those specified in 4.7. Sheets to Class 3 containing major andlor minor defects as in 4.7 shall fulfil the following conditions: - within an area with a radius of 150 mm around a major defect, there shall be no further major defects and not more than 3 minor defects: - within an ar
32、ea with a radius of 150 mm without major defects, the midpoint of which may be located at any point on the sheet, there shall be not more than 8 minor defects. 4.8.4 Criteria for Class 4 There shall be no defects larger than those specified in 4.7. Sheets to Class 4 containing major andlor minor def
33、ects as in 4.7 shall fulfil the following conditions: - within an area with a radius of 150 mm around a major defect, there shall be no further major defects and not more than 5 minor defects; - within an area with a radius of 150 mm without major defects, the midpoint of which may be located at any
34、 point on the sheet, there shall be not more than 8 minor defects. 4.9 Deep drawing qualities Sheets shall be formable without cracks by thermoforming. The formability shall be tested on hemispheres with a deep drawing ratio for diameter: depth of 2: 1. Forming conditions (heating time, temperature)
35、 and preliminary drying temperatures and times shall be specified by the manufacturer of the sheet. 5 Quality assurance See EN 2000 and EN 3042. 5.1 Qualification testing The batch size for qualification testing is specified in the relevant material standard. 5.2 Acceptance testing 5.2.1 Sampling Ra
36、ndom samples for testing in accordance with tables 1 to 3 shall be taken by the manufacturer from each production batch. 5.2.2 Tests The manufacturer shall perform the tests defined as batch acceptance test in the material standard. 5.2.3 Certificate of Conformity For each delivery the manufacturer
37、of the semi-finished polycarbonate product shall demonstrate conformance to the batch acceptance requirements of the relevant material standard by means of a Certificate of Conformity (for example see Annex A) to be submitted to the customer. 38、l be recommended to the customer on his request. 7 Protection and packaging Each sheet shall be provided with a suitable protective covering (plastic film or paper) on both sides, which is easily removable without damaging the surface or transfer of adhesive to the sheet. The protective layer shall
39、protect the surface during delivery, storage, handling and also during cutting to size. Sheets structured on one side may be protected on the smooth side only. Unless otherwise agreed with the customer, all sheets shall be packed separately accordingly to thickness and size. The packaging shall be s
40、uch that the material remains in its original condition and the sheets are protected from damage. 8 Marking Sheets shall be marked approximately every 600 mm on the protective covering. The following data shall be marked: - Designation in accordance with product standard. - Manufacturers name or ide
41、ntity (as defined on qualification). - Production batch number. - Extrusion direction for fibre filled materials. - Dimensions.
