1、Designation: C 467 97 (Reapproved 2008)Standard Classification ofMullite Refractories1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 467; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in
2、 parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This classification covers refractory products consistingpredominantly of mullite (3 Al2O32 SiO2) crystals that areformed by either converting a

The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are

Significance and Use3.1 The
6、 mullite content of an alumina-silica refractorymaterial has an important influence on volume stability, loadbearing properties, and its satisfactory use in refractory appli-cations. This classification is considered useful for purchasespecifications and quality control.4. Properties4.1 The refracto

This could apply where the first test results may notconform to the requirements prescribed in this classi
