BEC商务英语(中级)阅读模拟试卷 99答案与解析 一、 PART ONE 1 【正确答案】 A 【试题解析】 从段落 A的标题 Toronto 其中think for themselves和 havean individual approach to problems含义一致。

20 【正确答案】 C 【试题解析】 此句的 indexes down by 4 by the 20 of trading on Friday中的indexes意为 “股市的指数 ”, down by 4意为 “下降了 4 ”, trading意为 “交易 ”,后面的 by theof意为

21 【正确答案】 D 【试题解析】 这句话 which on the same day 21 by far the steepest plunge in the Americas与第 19题 Argentina and Mexico 19 the highest falls的句式相似,说明的意

、看出,在 who 23 3 5 billion dollars in emerging market investments for BEA Associates in New York这句话中,需要选择的动词与后面的for组成 “为纽约的 BEA Associates35 亿美元的新兴市场投资 ”,经过分析可知,这 35亿美元是在 emerging market中的 investments,而且与后面的介词 for组成短语,表示 “为 而 ” 。所以 B earns(挣得 )在此讲不通。

所以答案为 D manages(管理 )。 be re

短语 there is no point表示 “没有意义 ”或 “没有用 ”。 get back to normal意思是 “恢复正常 ”,只有等到亚洲的经济恢复了他们才能够

、好转,所以需要选择的词 应与 get back to normal同义,那么只有 D合适。 D forced意为 “强迫 ”, be for

、ced to do sth表示 “被迫做某事 ”。

C put在此句中应与 in或 into搭配。

所以 A slightly(稍微地、轻微地 )是正确答案。

不需要 with。
