Besides the bedrooms, there is a kitchen,

7、 a sitting room and a bathroom. Its larger than most of the fiats in my city. It measures about 120 square metres. The rooms are quite spacious and bright. The sitting room and my bedroom face south, so they get sunlight for most of the day. The rooms are well-furnished with comfortable furniture. I

8、n the living room, we have a few paintings and in the bedrooms there are family photographs. My room is also decorated with posters of my favourite film stars. The walls of the rooms in my home are painted in light colours blue, white, green. Well, ideally, Id like to have a very large house with a

9、garden perhaps even a swimming pool. The ground floor would have a large sitting room and a dining room, as well as a kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs, there would be another bathroom, three bedrooms and a study. The home would also have a basement, which I would turn into a games room. Friends I spen

10、d quite a lot of time with friends, though it depends on how much work we have to do. I like to go out with my friends in the evenings if possible. We like to go to a bar or restaurant near where we live. We drink a little alcohol, eat some food and talk about our lives and jobs. Sometimes we also t

11、alk about something weve seen on TV or about a new song. I met most of my friends at university. After graduating, most of us stayed in the city and got jobs there. I still have some old friends from school, but we dont see each other very often now. I have a few friends at the company where I work,

12、 but not so many. We certainly do. We all like going out, so we olden enjoy the nightlife. We also all have an interest in music and films, so, as I said, we often discuss those topics together. Each of us has some other interests, such as skiing or diving. We dont do those activities together, but

13、we tell each other about them when we meet. Oh definitely with my friends. My parents live in a different part of the country and I only see them a few times a year. However, we do speak on the phone regularly and we send emails to each other. Going abroad long-term Im going abroad to study physics.

14、 The facilities abroad are better than those in my country and I also want to experience new ways of learning and see how people abroad are investigating different physics problems. Apart from that, Im also hoping to see how people in another country live, and of course, Id like to improve my Englis

15、h. At least a year. Thats how long the course is. Id like to stay longer, but it depends on my financial situation. If possible, Id like to spend some more time in a second foreign country, just to get a little more experience of living abroad and dealing with people from different cultures. My pare

16、nts are supporting me financially. None of my friends have been abroad, but theyve been very helpful by suggesting where I can get information, particularly useful websites. I dont think Ill have many problems abroad. I think that my English is good enough to communicate with people, though Ill prob

17、ably have to learn some technical terminology and perhaps get used to peoples accents. Ive never been abroad before, but Im told by many people that the university accommodation in Western countries is far superior to that at universities here. I think that the biggest problem will be surviving on a

18、 limited budget. I think it will be difficult to fully experience a foreign country without spending too much. I think that there will be fewer restrictions on my lifestyle. I also think that I will have the opportunity to meet a wider variety of people. In this country, so many people are so simila

19、r in so many ways. You ask a person a question and the answer you receive is the same as you get from a second person. I think that isnt true in Western countries. From what I have heard, there is more student participation in education its student centred rather than teacher centred. Im looking for

20、ward to the change. 2 【正确答案】 The TV programme that I watch the most is called South Park. It is an American animated programme for adults certainly not for kids! Theres too much violence and swearing in it. The series follows the adventures of four 8-year old boys in the small town of South Park in

21、Colorado. The things that happen in the series are almost always completely crazy, but are always related to real-life situations. The programme has been very controversial, because it makes jokes about anything and everythingparticularly people from different countries, including America, and peopl

22、e with various political and religious beliefs. Two of the boys are quite normal, but the other two are very special. One dies in many of the episodes, only to return in the next episode. The other boy is extremely selfish, materialistic and bigoted. However, he is extremely funny! There are numerou

23、s other characters in the series. Some appear in most of the episodes, like the boys parents and teachers, whilst others only appear once in a while. The series has been running for 11 years now and looks like continuing, since it is very popular and the writers say that they still have plenty of id

TV is a common way of getting the news and a popular way of spending an evening is sitting down in front of the TV. In my country, almost every household has

25、a TV set. I think that it is generally a good thing, but sometimes people become too involved in watching it rather than doing something else like meeting friends or keeping fit. I think that most children watch a reasonable amount, mainly because their parents keep a track of how much they watch. S

26、ome children, particularly those whose parents dont keep an eye on how much they watch or who have a TV in their bedroom, watch too much. However, on the other hand, there are plenty of kids who hardly watch any TV, preferring to spend more time on their homework or on outdoor activities. I think th

27、at it is mainly up to the parents to keep a balance between the activities that their children are involved in. In my country, there are no limits at all on the mount of advertising that can be shown on TV. The result is that there is far too much, in my opinion. I know that in some countries, there

28、 are limits and I think that this would be a good idea in my country. An alternative would be to increase the prices of advertising on TV. That way the TV company wouldnt lose out financially. Yes, I think that there is too much. So many films contain violence in them nowadays. I know that some peop

29、le find it exciting, but I think that most of it is pointless and adds nothing to the programme or film. I also think that theres too much sex on TV. I mean, I can understand kissing, but more than that doesnt really make the story of the programme or film any better. Im not in favour of banning vio

30、lence and mild sex scenes, but I wish that programme makers would show some restraint. Yes. We get plenty of foreign TV programmes. Most of them are films from America or documentaries about other countries, showing the lifestyle or wildlife there. I really enjoy the documentaries and, according to

31、the newspapers, they get high ratings. American films seem to be popular all over the world. they are exciting and clearly the directors and producers often let their fantasies nm wild! Why not its entertaining. One downside is that some people think that life in America is really like it is shown in the films, which is, of course, completely mistaken.
